Strega galloped into the new area. There were a few horses pretty far off, but otherwise there was no one around. She gently came to a stop after galloping faster than lighting can strike a tree. She turned around, her sides heaving and coated with sweat, to wait for Elding. Strega took in a long, deep breath of fresh air to fill her heaving, burning lungs. Strega assumed this was the place horses called The Watering Hole, for there was a big water hole a few yards off. The water hole was shining, as if glass covered it, and Strega couldn't help but go over to it and get a drink of fresh, cool water to fill her thirsty, dry throat. She took a long drink, and then lay down to wait for Elding under a tree not to far off.

Elding trotted towards the water at a slower, more relaxed pace. "Där är du, du springer lite för fort för mig Strega," he told his love cheerfully. His lowered his heavy head to the pond, sucking down great draughts of the refreshing liquid, then strode towards the dun mare, droplets of water still clinging to his whiskers. He paused beside her, swishing his thick coal tail, then raised his head and whinnied loudly, calling his daughters. Yrsa could fend for herself, true, but Aska, though a yearling already, was still young and fairly defenseless. And he was quite the father figure-- being away from his daughters made him nervous. The last thing he wanted was another stallion stealing Yrsa or harming Aska.

ooc: Mucho open, translator not necessary cuz Strega, Elding, Aska, Yersa, and Faradera are the only horsies in SR who would be able to understand. But if you're absolutely curious, you could.

Strega laughed when she was told she was to fast for Elding. "är jag för fort för dej Elding? Måste du gå till gymet?" she said to Elding teasingly. She suddenly got a sick feeling in her stomache when Strega heard Elding neigh for Aska and Yrsa. Yrsa could most likely defend herself but what about little Aska? Strega raised her dun head and opened her soft muzzle and whinnied for them, just as Elding had. Hopefully, they would see a pretty big horse coming trotting next to a little black streak. Strega looked as far as her eyes would allow her to, hoping to see that exact sight. A few minutes past and nothing happened, so Strega lay down to doze while waiting for her daughters, only hoping nothing was wrong.

Aska suddenly heard the two cries of Elding and Strega and immediately jumped up on her feet and started streaking towards the sound. Home! Parents! Yay! She would be able to go and sleep in the soft green grass with the sun warming her body and not have to be afraid because her parents where standing guard over her. She went up a tiny hill and saw a big black horse and a little bit smaller dun horse next to the black one. Her parents. Aska raced over to them and nuzzled her parents. Oh, it was so nice to be with them again! And soon they would go home where she could sleep peacefully without having to worry all the time.

Elding's eyes shone happily as his youngest daughter raced towards them. She was already a beautiful little filly, and would no doubt be a wonderful mare one day. It was hard to believe she was already a yearling. Time flies. It seemed like just yesterday when Yrsa had been that same size, frolicking about happily. "Hej, Aska," he rumbled. "Var har du gömt Yrsa någonstans?" Yrsa could take care of herself, of course, but he still wanted to know where she was and why she wasn't with the younger filly. He gave her a friendly nudge with his muzzle. This was how it was supposed to be- perfect family life, without predators or rival stallions sneaking around, without having to worry about territories and guarding. Just being together, in peace.

Strega laughed. She was overjoyed at least Aska came back. Yrsa could take care of herself, but not Aska. Strega nuzzled Aska back and said, "Hej Aska! Var det kul att leka med Yrsa och Whispered Promises?" While she waited for the filly's response, she glanced over to the hill where Aska had come from. No Yrsa. Strega sighed. Yrsa was probaly not coming back. She might come in a few seconds, a few minutes, a few hours, a few days, or even a few weeks. Strega could only hope that her daughter was alright and with another nice mare or a beautiful stallion, and not in the stomache of a cougar or wolf.

Aska laughed with her mother and smiled. She nuzzled her father back, then her mother. Home at last! " Yrsa är med en som heter Cassonova och nåra andra." She loved how even when she knew her father was worried, Elding could still joke around. Aska lay down and gave her tired and sore feet a little time to relax and rest. She honestly wasn't very worried about Yrsa. Yrsa could take care of herself. But it would have been nice to have a playmate around, because even though Strega and Elding would play with her, it was three times more fun to play with Yrsa.

ooc: She wasn't with Cassanova. I've told you that several times. It was Hawkeye and Luna.
Elding sighed good-naturedly. "Jaha, hon lär väl klara sig själv ett tag." Yrsa was a big girl, she could take care of herself. Oh, how time flew! It seemed like just last week that his daughter had been a newborn foal, and now she was an adult leaving the nest. The stallion gave a fond look to his youngest daughter. At least Aska would be around for some time yet. "Have you been running a lot?" he asked, this time in the normal dialect of horses. He loved this life- steady home, a family. Fighting and challenging and all that nonsense was not up his alley. Sure, he had prodigious strength and was not stupid, but he was not born wild and would never adjust completely to the life of a wild band leader. Elding gave Strega a good-natured nudge, sighing contentedly again. For now, at least, the future looked good.

OOC: oh..... Sorry
Strega nudged Elding back fondly and gave him a little nip on the ear. But at least she knew know that Yrsa was OK even if she was not coming back. She sighed. What Elding had said before to her was true, time really must fly. She wondered where they were going to go next. Would they still go looking for mares or would they go back home? Strega was sort of getting tired, for they had gone a long way and Aska would most likely be tired. But who knows? That black bullet had the most energy in the world. But it was Elding's desicion of where they would go next.

Aska went up and nuzzled both her parents. How lucky she was to have the two best parents in the world! But she wondered what was happening to Yrsa. Had she went on to find a new stallion? Was she OK? Aska asked her father," Pappa? Vart ska vi nu? Ska vi hem eller stanna har eller vänta på Yrsa eller hitta Yrsa?" Aska really wanted to know where they were going. If they went home to go sleep, fine with Aska. If they went on another adventure, fine with Aska. She honestly didn't really care where they went. She only hoped it was someplace fun.

Elding shook his massive ebony head thoughtfully. "Jag tror att om Yrsa vill komma hem, så gör hon det. Vi behöver inte leta efter henne. Ni får bestämma vad vi gör- vill ni hem, eller hitta någon att prata med, eller...?" He was fairly laid-back, not too fussed about what they did. The heavily built northern stallion ambled down to the banks of the watering hole, and lowered his head to the smooth surface of the liquid, taking deep draughts of the cool fluid. Raising his head again, he snorted, water droplets beading on his whiskers. It was hot again, and summer was not his favorite season. But life was good at the moment.

Strega followed Elding down to the water hole. " Well Elding, I think we have had quite an adventure. I wouldn't mind going home. And I would like Aska to rest. She has gone on a long journey, so it would be nice if she could get some sleep." Strega nuzzled Elding, water droplets from his muzzle dropping on her. Strega was so glad that Elding was her stallion. She knew she would always be protected by him and he always made the best decisions. He never freaked out about anything but always stayed calm. Yes, Strega was very happy with life right now. But she also wanted to rest and Strega now wished to go home.

Aska yawned, probaly for the first time in her life. It was true she never got tired, but right now, she was a bit sleepy. She had had a huge adventure, an even though it was very fun, she needed to rest. Aska looked at her parents walking away, towards the watering hole, but didn't follow herself. Instead she lay down and breathed in the warm, summer air. She was baking, like her father. Aska had the blackest fur in the world, which she got from her father. It was nice in the winter, but in the summer, it was horrible. She curled up in a ball and went to sleep.
