Heartbeart....pause....heartbeat....Hooves striking the ground. Tail flies like a banner, mane streams behind. Dark bay is striking, the white stripes on the coat even more so striking. Two socks and a blaze. A mare. She calls, thin and rather distressing. Her appearance causes concern. Thin and able to see ribs and hips, she still walks. Grim determination still in her dark and soulful eyes. She trots, a rather slow place, jaunty and hard to keep up with. A rather fluid pace through, the hooves moving in delicate fashion. Her tail raised ever so slightly. Her ears upright and waiting. So many horses here...so much to interact with. Who will she meet? What will she do here? Could her life finally change for once? She paused, her hooves digging into the terra slightly as she stopped. Her eyes cast about her, waiting and wondering. Her sides shivered, a bulge in her abdomen, something strange there. An encounter and abuse was all she recalled....But now pain and despair were her constant companions. Could she find one to wipe that all away? Someone to take her to a herd? She let another call drift into the air, her hooves shifting her body to all directions. Would one hear her call?

She looked around with her soulful eyes, staring into the heart of the blazing summer. The harshness of the land matched her eyes, dark and full of despair. She let another thin whinny race from her mouth as she waited, watching. Her hooves danced lightly over the ground as she tossed her wild head, her nostrils quivering. Sides shuddering once more, she reared up halfway, her head raising towards the heavens. Someone had to hear her, just once. And no more evil stallions, a nice stallion would do. She graced the ground once more, her hooves dancing once more. The royalty of the race tracks and show arena had finally reached a wild place, away from the humans that raised her so lovingly. She was where she belonged.

Alaskan Star
The iron Grey stallion stood under a large tree from the burnt heat of the summer sun. He lifted his head high as he heard the call of a mare. Snorting loudly he didn't move but waited a moment before sending out a call back to her. He was surrounded by a small group of different gender equines, but he was unable to find the mare from which the call escaped.
He shifted from one black hoof to another; his long mane hanging down over his shoulder. His large Andalusian head tucked elegantly underneath him throwing his forelock over his large, dark soft eyes.

Her ears perked up, surely they were not deceiving her. She blinked her dark and soulful eyes slowly and called again. A stallion had answered her call? Surely she must be hallucinating from the lack of food until she found this place. Her head lifted from the mouthfuls of grass that she was pulling into her mouth. Her reverse brindle hide flicked as biting insects crawled over her and flew away. Her tail slowly lashed behind her as she looked for the source of the call. Her hide once again was starting to take on a shine as in her former racing days, but the bones were still there, all sticking out at odd angles. She blew a snort softly as she finished her last mouthful and let a call fly out of her muzzle. Was that a stallion that had called to her? Could a stallion have possibly found her in the jungle of grass and other equines? Her forelock, though tangled and burred, moved from in front of her eyes as she looked around, moving slightly to gain a better vantage point. And then she waited once again.

Alaskan StarThe stallion let a soft called escape his lips once more to the mare. Surely he had heard her? He pondered a moment before making his way to wards where he surely picked up the sound. His swinging walk flowed easily over the rough grassland. He weaved in between friends and others he did not know. Giving them his best wishes as he went or wishing them good day. Some replied with friendliness and others scornfully turned their backs on him and grunted in response. but these would not hinder him. He was glad to be alive and soon would be reaching his prime and had never felt better in his live. His lead had recently foaled. His lovely Everlasting had gone; but he knew not where, though there would always be a place for her in his heart and in his herd, he did wonder if she was still alive. And of course there was his other mare and adoptive son who had also mysteriously disappeared. But this was not at all bad; plenty came and went in his herd, though he always had his faithful lead and now i wondered for some company for her.
