It was days like these that made Warrior glad he had chosen this territory to make his home; the sweltering heat would have been a nightmare, and probably was for any other creatures in the land, but the mist from the waterfall created a pleasant cooling sensation. True, it evaporated more quickly than in cooler weather and thus only lingered near the falls, and the river itself was much less lively than usual, but it still offered a welcome respite. The grizzled stallion had stood near the edge of the water for quite a while, enjoying the spray of the falls. Still, a stallion has his duties, and it was perhaps time to do a loop through the territory and check up on things. One could never be too careful, and the sooner an intruder or predator or other danger was discovered, the better. Yawning widely, Warrior stirred into action, ambling away from the falls along the path leading to the rest of the territory. No doubt the mares were grazing or resting somewhere, but it was a good idea to check on them anyway, just to be sure everything was alright.

NaRaya was grazing near the two younger mares whom she had started to form a friendship with. She laughed at how Golden was more outgoing, reminding her of her lost foal and then Snowy was more laid back and willing to follow but when it came to playing, Snowy was just like Golden. "I wonder where Warrior is?" Snowy said out loud. NaRaya lifted her head and looked around. "Last I saw him, he was enjoying the spray from the waterfall. But from there I have no clue."she said. "Snowy, we could always go looking for him...?" Golden offered. Golden was still amazed at how Snowy had taken to the stallion but after a while she could see why her best friend wasn't afraid.
Apache walked into his father's land. It had been years since he had been here or at least he thought it was his father's land. The young stallion had heard rumors of a stallion named Warrior and so he decided to follow up on them. Bay tobiano lifted his head when he heard talking.
