Rocket head was thrown back has he waded into the water scars covered his body. He was not the same silly Rocket he had been long ago times and things had changed. His friends had been killed during the battle, the thought brought him great pain, he rarely if ever talked about them. After the battle had ended he had manged to escape not unharmed saddly. He now had a perment limp his leg had been damaged quite badly.
Rocket signed has he looked down down at his leg the water was only reaching up to his ankles. His leg looked terrible covered in old skin and he was sure it was infected but he would not let anyone know about the pain he was in.
He was different unhappy almost. He had not been prepared for the fight, his mind had not been in the right place He had only been a foolish colt but now he was hard-set stallion. He scapped the water with his good hoof moving the rocks around. He turned to look up to see if Aleta and Azra had caught up "We should probably rest here tonight the suns going down already"

The pair of fillies had been left behind when Hero's miniature army set off to attack Fire, along with the rest of the mares. They hadn't thought much of it, taking the time to enjoy some peace and quiet without loud and pushy stallions everywhere (never mind that Azra was even more obnoxious than most of her siblings). Time had passed and eventually they were able to spot the returning warriors on the horizon- or so they had thought. But upon closer inspection, they realized that none of Hero's troops were in the group; only Dagger and his kin returned, something which had made both Azra and Aleta feel quite uneasy. The moment Saber spotted them, he had come streaking at them with murder in his eyes, confirming their fears; Dagger had turned on them all. Shrieking a warning to the other mares, they had fled as fast as their legs could carry them, narrowly managing to escape Saber who was slowed down by his wounds from the battle.
They had run into Rocket not long afterwards; he was hardly their favorite, having spent so much time bickering with him lately, but he was at least a familiar face, and a friendly one compared to Dagger and Saber. The traveling had been fairly slow since then, with Rocket's injuries, but what did it matter? They had nowhere to go. Finding the others might have been some vague goal, but with no idea on where to start with that, for now all they could do was wander and survive.
Following a few steps behind Rocket, Aleta walked quietly to the water's edge and lowered her head to drink. Traveling in the open like this had made her much more cautious; Hero's herd had been well protected, but out here, anything could happen. It was also tiring, always being on the move and on the lookout for danger. But the buckskin was a proud young mare, and refused to show any complaint or weakness.
Azra came close behind, stopping in the water halfway up to her knees with an irritated huff. She had mud splashed across her legs and belly, tending to go straight forward on muddy spring paths where Aleta generally went around on dryer ground, but she wasn't the type to mind that sort of thing. She was, however, the type to voice her opinion. "What are we even doing?" she grumbled, flicking her ears as she scanned the opposite bank for signs of any strangers. "What's the plan here? Bumbling around in the wilderness is great and all, except it isn't, it sucks. Are we even going anywhere, or..?"

Rocket looked down into the water flicking his ear to let Azra know he had acknowledged her. Too be totally honest he had no idea what he was doing-he was no good at this whole I'll protect you my fair lady- no he was a four year old colt just has lost as these two were now. It felt good in a sort away that the mares did look at him in someway even if it was just hope for protection or a familiar face. His old friends were dead and gone. He was just as alone now.
He turned looking at Azra with a stern almost annoyed look "Your father's herd cant be all dead. We have to look for who we can and besides its not like you have anything better to do Azra." He turned his head back towards the treeline listening if there was any danger.
The sun was now fully going down Rocket stepped out of the water his hooves dripping onto the bank. He sky blue eyes traveled to Aleta the beautiful buckskin he had been in love with for two years now. Back at the old herd he had thrown himself onto her like a fool-his plan now? He didnt have one but the declaring on his ever dying love had not worked. He looked the mare over every intch of her was perfect in his mind-everyday his lust for her grew as did his body. He was a full grown stallion after all and he could overpower her. However he would never hurt Aleta though but in his twisted little brain he also could not let her go. He would follow the mare to the end of earth and back if he had too. He would do anything she asked- that is if she ever did ask. He cleared his throat "what do you want to do Aleta?" He asked almost in whisper. He loved this mare.

For a moment, Aleta was silent, ignoring Azra's huffy attitude as she stared at the water thoughtfully. "I suppose that is what we should do... look for my father and whatever's left of the herd," she said finally. "I just wonder where they could have gone... the world is a big place, and we'll never find them if we just wander around randomly. I suppose we should ask any strangers we come across, if they've heard anything. Risky I'm sure but what else are we supposed to do?"
"Dad wouldn't go anywhere close to the old territory or Fire's herd," Azra interrupted, flicking her mane at a fly in irritation. "He's not that dumb, he wouldn't want to be attacked by either Fire or Dagger while he was recovering. So he's probably somewhere far away from there. Probably hasn't challenged for a new territory either if he was beaten up enough to retreat from the fight. So away from home, and away from other territories. Somewhere quiet and secluded, I'd bet my tail on it. Hey Rocket, you've been around a bit before right, any idea of places like that?"
(ooc: sorry for replying to this so late, I don't know what happened but things just got away from me x.x)
