The Strath/Dalt Chat?

My Characters:

Strath
Dao - I'd like to get her preggers either by outsider or Strath
(Cynical, dislikes the idea of being 'better' than everyone else purely by breeding. feels trapped, but doesn't want to leave, she keeps a eye on the youngsters wishing them freedom)

Roamling - I'd like to have her preggers again Strath only
(Serious, but still a little naïve, sun shines out of Dagger & Ivory's arse, their words are law)

Snake - Just a cute little baby at the moment
(believes being Strath makes him superior. argues anything to the contrary)

Dalt

Peril - Needs to be Preggers again its her job Fire?
(Naïve use to having someone else do the worrying for her, her newest foal is always the best one, Though Valiant being like her will be her favourite)

Jeopardy - Just Protect mum, that's his job
(Procrastinator and worrier, his feeling can bring him to ecstasy or drag him though hell. a emotional wreck if ever you saw one)

Risk - Live for the moment
(she likes to see everyone happy, but also wants to be centre of attention) 

Valiant - Oh Sweet Valiant

Valiant is going to be my only character to challenge a Leader for the honour of leading.
But he doesn't just want the Dalt Crown, He wants the Strath Crown just as much.  

Peril is going to dote on her pure white son, and the last prodigy of Hero. This will lead him to a over inflated ego. The stories of the Dalt and Strath have warped slightly over time. when he listens all he hears are stories of superior horses fighting amongst themselves. What a Waist of superior life.
In his Mind he ranks breeding like this:
Top
Pure Strath = Pure Dalt \ Superior
Strath x Dalt . . . . . . .  / Horses

Strath x Lower Horse \ Only foals/horses that have taken after the Superior side of their breeding can be considered Middle class
Dalt x Lower Horse . ./ These are typically beautiful, strong, enduring types 

Strath x Lower Horse \ foals/horses that have taken after the Inferior side of their breeding can be considered Lower class
Dalt x Lower Horse . ./ These are typically Quiet, Frail, Weak in mind or body, disloyal types.

Any horse without Dalt/Strath breeding are considered Inferior, the lowest class. However if the Leader considered a horse to be of exceptional standard He alone can admit them into the middle class.
(to complete this they must produce a foal with a Superior Horse)
Any Superior Horse can judge wether a Superior x Inferior foal is Middle or Lower class.
Its concidered a great betrayal to leave the herd without asking the leaders premission. (penalty is by the disgression of the leader)


It'll be a while before Valiant will be big enough to lead, but thats the direction the white lad wants to take

Sounds good were are we going to start before or after the fight now that I have rejoined? I'll post my characters up once I actually find them so far Pageant,KumaSaka,Payton,Hero,Sinbad,Scout and some others will be reappearing... The plot will be longer if we start before the fight but I can defiantly work around

Option one before the fight will obviously start off at our last post

Okay Hero is on the run after the battle He's hurt (missing an eye thanks to Fire) he still has Scout and some follows I'll be making up or any of you guys feel free too Sketch(where is he?)
Pageant,Kuma and Payton are with him. He nearly kills Kuma for some reason but Page steps in and gets her knee hurt so she's limping now, Payton is pregnant with Hero's kid and Sinbad is so wrapped up in making his father proud he's now his little minion. Somehow Hero double crossed Dagger so he can't go back to them Dagger wants him dead. Hero sends Sid back to Fire's herd for a trade off for Kuma for Peril (up to stumpy if she comes or not of course) oh and Sid's reward page of course just to make Fire mad xD that's all I have soo far! Ideas? Thoughts? Let me know! I'll be having my account back up in running by the end of is week and will have my first post on Sunday once we decide where to go and I finished catching up

There is still a lot of chao's because of the war, me and Sweedle had been playing it as just after the war.
We didn't make specifics for your character, but Fire blames Hero's sons for running most of his herd (your characters) away, no one really new what happened to them.
When Hero lead Dagger and the colts to the war, it gave Smoke & Peril enough time to run away (they'd heard rumours Hero had been killed)
Serpent was killed believed by Hero, he believed Hero had betrayed them when Fire was winning the battle, so went after Hero, He was found dead. Roamling was sad/angry wants revenge. and her foal Snake was named after Serpent.

I love the Idea of Hero coming 'back from the dead' he'll get a mixed reception. but can Peril be in foal to Fire (assuming Sweedle will agree) before Hero makes his return?

Hero will stay hidden then and maybe rumors of him surviving can surface? Oh Swede what if Hero brain washes Page and she ends up trying to kill fire later? Or maybe Dagger and Fire have to end up working together for some reason because they both want Hero dead so many ideas!! By the way Hero killed Sterling and going to bring in some new stallions

Sid will be doing all of Hero's dirty work but he's going to need a badass girlfriend soon one that's kind of mean to him and put him in his place ^.^

asdfkajhdfadfa okay I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my characters, in truth I really have no idea but let's see-

Fire, Trace, and Flame still live on Crescent Island after the battle. We've assumed that mouse's characters were run off, possibly killed when Hero and Dagger's crew attacked. Fire tried to track down his missing family members but couldn't find them, so they're just depressed on the island. Flame has a wound in his shoulder that is causing quite a bit of trouble for him.

At some point in the battle when things started going badly, Dagger betrayed Hero, and Hero went missing, is sort of what we've been guessing. Dagger took over his territory for the Strath, so that's where Saber and Ivory and the rest are. Lyric and the twins live with them now because she learned that Fire killed her brother in the first battle, and she wants revenge. Smoke and Sparks escaped with stump's characters while Hero was away, and they've come to live with Fire. Smoke doesn't know where the others are.

Sketch... I kinda assumed he got injured and separated from the others, and has been wandering the wilderness on his own. Trying to find his old "friends" but not sure who to trust, believes that Hero is dead, his whole world has kind of shattered and he's a bit spooked and wary. Even though he's been brainwashed to hate Fire and his old herd, it was still really weird for him to see them again, and to be attacking them, so he hates them but he's also afraid of them and just confused and blah.

Nineveh, Nazareth, and Kaara fled the territory when Dagger came back and took over. They have Bethlehem, Vashti, and Ghost with them, but I don't know where they are or what they're doing.

Sting was at the battle, so chances are he's either on his own, or maaaaybe with Hero or Sid or someone if they were able to escape together. Azra and Aleta are missing, they had to flee when Dagger took over but nobody really knows where they are.


Stump, it might be better if an Outsider breeds Dao if you want everyone to hate the foal (if it's Dagger or Saber's foal, they might still hate Dao but they'll probably be busy brainwashing the foal into being loyal, since it's their blood). As for Roamling, Dagger being the leader and a bit selfish would probably want to claim her for himself, buuut seeing as Saber is skulking around right now, he might run into her now, so we could see what happens.. blah I'm so braindead after work, but I'll keep thinking.

Sounds like a plan sweedles as far as strath breeding goes, if roamling has a run in with someone at the bourder, and goes to get dao to sort it out? could be a way to introduce the stallion to her. however she'll be keeping her pregnancy hush hush. after she tries to get Lyric to leave

Well for Kuma I am kind stuck in a triangle it would be super cute for her to fall for Sketch since he liked her but I've always wanted her with Flame so I think I will stick with that idea but was thinking with Sketch on his own all messed up he could meet someone what do you think?

Sid's eventually going to want to find his sibling he grew up with I'm not sure if he's going to stay loyal to his father or not HE might end up killing him eventually oh and his mother?

I am going to to make some strath but I kind want an important character but not related to Dagger or Ivory since I would eventually like them to breed with Dagger or Sabor was there any important generals that Dagger would know to make my character sound more importish?

Yeah Stump I totally forgot about that mash up however wouldn't Risk be with Pearl I suppose Sid could always ask for her when doing the trade off with Kuma.

Risk is in Fire's herd at the moment, it would be a possible positive revelation for Sid to find out she's 100% dalt (or not if he's not into bloodlines)

Risk could be betrayed by either Valiant (when he's a little older) Valiant wants to know more about the Dalts, and his own father/half brothers. If Sid saw Risk in the herd as well he could use Valiant to lure Risk into a more venerable location.

Jeopardy however is going to switch sides and be mainly pacifist, until something inevitably goes wrong.

Having a unrelated Strath in the Strath herd would be good about now. Since the only breeding mares are really Ivory & Roamling. (Dao's a arse and Lyric's a cousin)

Also Stumpy I'm not sure Hero will be to thrilled with another Fire foal we will defiantly have to come up with idea so he doesn't kill it!

Also I'm going to want to rp another Hero foal eventually hopefully a filly ^.^

Valiant is Hero's current youngest son, a solid white foal with brown eyes like his sire.
he's a devious little squit, but his mommy loves him

It'll be interesting to see what Hero does knowing Peril is in foal to Fire. In her defence she didn't know hero was alive. and as yet no one has told Hero Risk's real father.

Ohh interesting maybe I should make a filly for him so we can have a peril/hero love story all over again!

Good idea I guess he can't get mad at her for thinking he was dead but he can pout over it xD

I'm fine with Peril x Fire. The tricky thing about more Strath is that there pretty much aren't any, the only real ones left are those which survived the "last battle" that nearly wiped out both Dalt and Strath, so Dagger's lot. There might have been a few left back in the old valleys or abandoned along the journey to Sunshine River, but that would mostly be a case of the very old, weak, dishonored, or traitors. Anyone of use to the herd would have traveled along with them to SR, and then been killed in the fight.

I've looked through some archived stuff, and I never really named any of the major generals, more just Rysen's personal guard and a couple of scouts. suneshineriver.proboards.com/thread/2675/dalt-strath Kenna's no use since he's related to Dagger (his father Storming is Dagger's uncle) but Briar and Thrall aren't related to him. They're dead obviously, but if anyone survived the battle, it might've been a foal or yearling who was a foal of theirs (Thrall for example had a daughter whose fate was never specified, just assumed dead with the rest). That battle was 5(!) years ago apparently when I check timelines, so that would be a grown horse by now.

There might've been a couple random mares who escaped as well, if they weren't close to the battle, but not many, it's a long shot. The herds clashed together in the fight, and even though most of the mares hung back, each side had warriors with the specific job of killing as many mares and foals as they could, so they got pretty much wiped out.

Long and short of it is that the Strath are pretty much doomed to extinction. Dalt too, in pureblood form, of course their bloodlines will live on since Fire doesn't really care about those politics so it'll just get diluted with Outsider blood through the generations. But the likelihood of either side returning to any sort of "old glory" is honestly pretty low (don't tell Dagger though, he'll just yell at you and then go be stubborn somewhere).
