He was not an elderly stallion at all, a stately twelve years old was all, but he was certainly a calm stallion. When the two legged ones had rounded him up, they thought he had been an escaped gelding due to his placid nature. But Huckleberry was far from a gelding. Theblack tobiano Chincoteague Pony had his share of mares aand foals back on the island But that was far away from here. Here was a rushing river at his hooves, swollen with the spring rains. His scraggled tail swung behind him as he lowered his head to take a.drink of the water that ran past.his hooves.
Looking up, Huck finally scented other horses nearby. He let loose a friendly call, one that did not heed a violent meeting. Of course, he might be run off if the stallion here was agressive in any way. He backed away from the swollen waters and noticed a tree near by. Walking towards it, he stood under it and grazed on the sweet grasses. A gentle rain had begun to fall and quickly soaked his top line, but he paid it no mind. No, instead he peacefully grazed and minded his own business.
She had been traveling around the land for some time since Krel and Charger had left to find a place for them. Her black filly darted in front of her, kicking up her heels and playing. The sorrel pony.mare, Harlow, grazed as she walked, keeping an eye on her filly. Today was a good day. And then it started to rain. She flattened her ears and scooted under the nearest tree.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I just didn't want to be rained on." She said to the painted pony stallion sharing the tree with her. She smiled nervously, still keeping an eye on Firefly.
"That's alright, missus. Just escaping the rain myself. I am Huckleberry, its a pleasure to meet you and yourn." He nodded his head towards her and the foal that was skipping in the rain.
Harlow sighed towards Firefly and shook her head, "Pleasure to meet you, Huckleberry. I hope you don't mind us sharing your tree during this drizzle."
He shook his head, "Not at all, in fact, consider yourself undery protection for the time being.". He smiled softly and returned to grazing.
