Montana had taken the few being that would be in his new herd and searched for a land that could be their own. Saffron would be his lead mare, she was perfect for the role. He smiled down to his little daughter as she had come up to him with her brother. "What do you think son?" he asked. "If there is no one here, it was be wonderful for the foals and others." Dancing said. Montana stepped farther away from his two and then let out a challenging call to any who could have been in the area, but as no one answered him, he turned to his heard and smiled. Silke, Riot,Brennan, Goldfinch; he hoped they would enjoy this place. He felt calm and relaxed and as he looked around more, there were many places to hide if danger came into the land.

The triad of mares followed their stallion quickly and quietly through these unfamiliar lands, a young palomino colt squeezed between the two older mares, a young stallion trailing after the youngest mare and ahead of them two dark youngsters kept to the sides of their similarly dark father. Goldfinch stumbled slightly but regained his footing, glancing up at his mother as she met his gaze, "Mama?" The young colt spoke his name for her in a quiet, demure tone before continuing as the pale mare glanced down at her son again. "Are we gonna stay here now? I like it here..." He trailed off, his ears flicking back as he glanced down at his hooves. The mustang smiled softly, "I hope so, sweetie. If there isn't anyone else living here, Montana will claim it and we'll live here for a long time." She whickered back, lowering her muzzle and gently ruffling his forelock. For the rest of the journey, no one spoke, their hooves and the chirping birds were the only soundtrack they had for a short while.
Eventually, Montana broke into a small clearing, Dancing and Lilly quickly following after their sire, leaving Saffron, Goldfinch, Silke, Brennan and Riot trailing behind. Saffron and Goldfinch led the other three equines into the clearing, allowing Silke and her son and daughter to follow behind. They all watched as Montana called out to challenge whoever may live here, but when it wasn't met with a reply a broad grin broke out on the perlino mustang's face. "Oh Montana, this is just perfect." She nickered, moving toward the larger stallion and nuzzling his shoulder affectionately. The yearling palomino colt trailed behind her, cautiously sniffing the grass before flopping down a few feet away with an audible thump and rolling in the luxuriously long grass. The youngster eventually rolled into a lying position, supporting his head with one leg as he stared at the adults. Saffron laughed as her son rolled and then straightened up with grass caught in his mane and forelock, "Are you enjoying yourself, Finch?" She asked, grinning broadly as the colt merely nodded and flopped backward into the grass with a grunt, allowing the sun to warm him through.
Silke stepped forward, sidling next to Saffron and smiling warmly at Montana, "This is a beautiful place, Montana, thank you." She nickered sweetly, gently nudging his cheek before moving off to drink from the nearby stream and then settle in to graze. Brennan followed her mother closely but instead of grazing she curled up in the shade of a large rose bush and allowed herself to recuperate from the journey. Riot watched his mother and sister with a disinterested expression before meandering off in the opposite direction and inspecting the bushes that were rife with odd berries and flowers. Saffron watched the other equines move off before she glanced back at her stallion, the sweet smile still fixed on her face as she sighed happily. "This place is just incredible... Thank you for finding it." She murmured, glancing around the clearing before fixing her gaze on Finch as he dozed in the sunshine.
