Name: Turtle
Age: 3yrs
Breed: Lusitano.
Height: 15.2hh
Colour: Pale Palomino.
Eye Colour: Mocha.
Gender: Mare.
Markings: None.
History: Turtle smiled at the bay colt that stood in front of her. "Coyote, I will so beat you." the pale palomino filly snorted, readying herself for the race to the gnarled old oak tree. "Ready, set, go!" Coyote called. They raced towards the tree, side by side. Then, a call of rage was carried on the wind. Turtle kept running, not noticing the grey stallion barreling towards Coyote. She stopped at the tree and turned, delight upon her face. She had finally managed to beat him! The filly gasped as Coyote and the other stallion met in mid air. "Stop!" she called, racing towards them. She shoved herself between them. "Stop! Coyote! Bear!" she barked, glaring daggers at both.
"You're promised to me, and I see you flirting with this mongrel." Bear sneered down at Coyote.
"She doesnt like you! She never has!" Coyote growled.
"Well, she was promised to me before she was born. Remember that, mustang." the grey lusitano stallion snarled, looking down at the bay mustang colt. Bear turned and trotted away.
"Are you alright, Coyote?" Turtle asked, looking at him.
"Im fine." the bay said dismissively. "I just dont get how you let him treat you like you belong to him! You need a real stallion, Turtle." Coyote said, looking at her with a strange expression in his eyes.
"B-But.. theres no one else for me but Bear." the pale palomino filly stuttered, looking at Coyote in confusion.
Coyote sighed and rolled his eyes. "Are you really that blind? I love you, Turtle. You're beautiful and fun. Run away with me. Please."
Turtle stared at the bay in shock, uncomprehending. "I.. I like you too." she stuttered.
"No, Turtle. Love." the mustang colt said, looking at her seriously. "I'll give you the night to decide if you're coming or not." he said, touching noses with her. No one noticed Bear standing behind the old gnarled oak tree.
"Coyote?" the filly called, looking for her friend. She had thought long and hard all night, and had finally decided to run off with him. Turtle walked along a old deer path, looking around. She trotted forward when she caught Coyote's scent. She stopped when she smelled something else- the metallic hint of blood. "Coyote!" she called, more frantic. The lusitano filly gasped in horror when she came upon the bay mustang's body. It seemed blood had oozed from every wound on his body, and now lay in the puddle of red. A dark, sadistic chuckle emanated from the surrounding trees and Turtle look around in fear. "He should never have come here. And you should never have met him." Bear said, walking closer, a smirk upon his handsome face.
"Y-You killed him?" the pale palomino stuttered, staring at the grey wide eyed.
The lusitano stallion sighed and rolled his eyes. "I had to, love. He was going to take you from me." Bear soothed, walking closer and touching his nose to turtle's neck.
"Get off me!" the filly squealed, biting and kicking at Bear. "You killed him! My best friend! Coyote!" Turtle screamed, now bashing at him with her hooves. She stopped, panting. She stared down at Bear, who had fallen under her volley of hooves and teeth. "W-What did I do?" she whispered, gasping. The pale palomino filly turned and raced away, not looking back.
She has been wandering about a year, visions of her dear Coyote and the evil Bear haunting her dreams and even her waking hours. Some say she is crazy, some look past that and see her beauty. Stallions have tried to claim her but have encountered a brick wall in the path that leads to her feelings. Most steer clear of her, seeing the mishmash of colors in her aura. Turtle has come to Sunshine River and doesnt exactly know why, only that something has drawn her here. Maybe the visions and nightmares will go away?
