angel smiled over to Laughlin, yes she was nerves, but she was excited too. She knew unlike the last stallion she 'had' been with, didn't help much with making sure her foal survived, but since this would be Laughlin's first foal, she had a feeling that he would try everything within his power to help it survive with the coming winters. Shaking her head, she sighed softly and turned and nuzzled her stallion. Her stallion, not anyone else's, just hers. "What would you name it?" she asked him softly. She still couldn't get the thought of her filly out of her mind though.

Returning Angel's nuzzle, Laughlin momentarily closed his eyes and basked in the warmth of this precious moment. It was odd for him to think that the previous spring, he'd been nothing more than a bachelor, his time spent with stallions and stallions alone. Now, here he was, about to embark upon the journey of parenthood for his first time.
"Names? I guess... I hadn't thought about it... I did have a buddy back in the day that went by Domino. He was a close pal until he got a herd of his own, so it'd be fun to remember him in our foal's name, I suppose.
"What would you name a foal, beautiful?"

Angel nodded. Domino for a boy's name, but what about a girl's?" she asked as she nuzzled him once more. "Maybe Star Dancer?" she asked. She had no clue about it, she didn't have to think to hard about the other two foals. DayDream had been fairly easy to name. "I just wonder what color it would be." she mused to herself. I think they'll take more after your coloring and markings rather than mine." she said with pride.
(never bred in IC, always just had a foal. lol)

"Star Dancer..." Laughlin mused. "Star Dancer... I like it." The speckled stud smiled at his golden mate as she tossed around ideas regarding the foal's color. While Laughlin secretly hoped for a strong little colt, someone to follow in his footsteps, the young stallion knew he'd be happy with anything he got. Besides, thinking reasonably, a filly really was less of a threat than any colt. "I will be happy with a foal, no matter its appearance. I'm just happy my first will be with you," Laughlin said with a grin. "Well... Shall we, um, ya know, head further into the canyon?" The spotted stallion started off into the depths of the breeding canyon, seeking somewhere private. <<<>>> As Laughlin later emerged from the canyon, he paused to look behind him for Angel. Angel moved up to her stallion, she nuzzled up to him. "I believe you will be a wonderful father Laughlin." Looking up to him she stepped away and moved off towards their homeland. Turning back to him though, she said, "I am glad to be having a foal with you, I know dream is looking up to you as a father already and that out of everything makes me happy. And with the herd to grow one day, you'll be the best of the best." She walked back to him and nipped at his mane softly. "I just know it."
(Very much so. lol)
