Markings: little white snip on forehead, but cant see it because of her mane.
History: Her sire, Barak, was a purebred percheron and her dam, Farsiris, was a purebred thoroughbred. They were domesticated horses, but Farsiris escaped the ranch through a gap in the barbed-wired fence, giving birth to Zania in the wild. (Zania is a long-legged horse with large bones. The humans had thought that this percheron/thoroughbred cross would be an excellent cross.) Farsiris and Zania roamed the countryside for a year, but always staying relatively close to Zania's birthplace near the ranch.
One day humans from the ranch came and took Farsiris away from Zania. Zania ran away, fearful of the humans. She never saw her mother again, and would not go near the ranch, even though she stayed close to it.
She would occasionally hear her mother calling to her, but she was wary of the strange-smelling humans, and wouldn't go farther to the ranch than 100 feet. She finally went further away from the ranch until she could no longer hear her mother's calls. The wilderness where she went had many predators, but she learned how to fight them effectively. She now just wants a place and herd to call home.
