A Misty Dawn
Misty Dawn[/u] The Grey mare flicked her dark hoofs over the soft ground beneath her; but she still didn't leave a trace. She was searching for Cermak; not knowing where her was she moved out throughout the land. Lifting her muzzle to the air she let a neigh escape her; she called for anyone; hoping though that Cermak would be the one to return her call.
She was in search of a herd; a home now. She didn't want to be alone now; and seen as Rowdy and Delight had moved on, she was no longer needed. [/b]

It was dawn once again... one of Cermak's favorite times of day. Mist drifted slowly across his silent white terra... his daughters and mares were, now, for the most part, fast asleep.
But he knew that there was one mare who stood awake. She was always awake around this time... and gazing upon the landscape, he saw an almost ghostlike figure, light, silent, beautiful and white, drifting soundlessly across the ground. She let out a neigh, and the old stallion couldn't help but smile.
"Dawn," he said, nodding his head as an informal greeting to the mare. She wasn't a part of his herd, really... she and her stallion and her adoptive daughter had simply been staying with them for the past season or so. However, unexpectedly, in a way that was most unlike him, the gentlemanly Rowdy had suddenly upped and left, taking Golden Delight, his daughter, with him. The pair had often kept to themselves during their stay, and no one other than Misty Dawn herself knew much about them. No one knew why they would just leave. But one thing was clear... they weren't coming back.
The Appaloosa was interested as to what her plans were for now. Would she find a new herd or would she be content to stay here, with her friend Celtic Rose, under a new stallion?

Misty Dawn
Misty dawn leveled her eyes at Cermak. she tossed her head slightly to rid her dark eyes of her forelock; and greeted him. "Cermak; how wonderful it is to see you" she said; her eyes vaguely dull - similar to the time when she had not long lost her first foal. She missed dear delight; and of course Rowdy. But it had never been quite right; she had known they wouldn't be staying for ever.
They had almost begged her to go with them; but deep down she knew this was the place she belonged and it had her closest friends who were more like a family and the dear old appaloosa stallion who had been kind to her since she had arrived. She moved from her place to wards him; moving almost as if she wasn't touching the ground; she approached him, stepping carefully as not to leave a trace - even though she felt safe here; it was what she was brought up to do and she would always do her best to conceal herself.
Snorting softly she pricked her ears as she reached the stallion and nuzzled him gently. her eyes brightened slightly at the sight of the dear stallion. "I expected no one to be awake at such a time." she said suddenly as if to break the silence.

Cermak smiled, and trotted over to the light-footed mare, touching his nose gently to her. "As it is a pleasure to see you, my dear. I wondered if you would leave for Sunshine River soon," he said gently, carefully choosing his words. After the short silence, he smiled and said, "I know you like this time of day. Your namesake, after all. I suppose I sought a chance to speak to you privately." The Appaloosa, although well along in his years, was not bent over and tired with age, like many others who had seen as many winters as he had. On the contrary, he stood as tall and proud, dark eyes constantly checking and rechecking his landscape, as one much younger than him.

A Misty Dawn
Misty Dawn[/u] "Indeed; I had thought of going along to the River; but I am reluctant to do so." She paused glancing at the handsome stallion; one she had admired and she supposed loved since she had first clapped eyes on him. She let her eyes wonder over his body admiringly. "I er..." she stuttered for a moment; before regaining her composure. "I feel so at home here; and it is close to Celtic Rose; and not too far from dear Alaskan Star; whom I have not seen in over a year now." she stopped realizing she was voiding the point. "And of course; I cherish you and your herd dearly; you all feel like my family." she cast her eyes away from him; so he would not see the dullness that had crept into them. "After all; for me to loose my foal and then my small herd to move along so quickly; you and your herd seem to be my only family here at Sunshine River. And well of course I have no others" she stopped again and glanced quickly at Cermak. "As i don't doubt i could find a suitable herd; and make my place with them; i am reluctant to do so; as I have my freedom here; and my dear ones." she said looking back at him now; showing all her pain and loss in her once bright eyes. The old stallion smiled, nodding slowly at her words. "I do not object," he said softly. "On the contrary, my dear, I was thinking of asking you to stay with us. I am sure that Rose will be delighted." Nuzzling the mare comfortingly, he said softly, "Rest assured, Dawn, that you can always find a home here."
He stood in silence, watching the sun rise slowly, casting streams of breathtaking light over the quickly paling sky, which he knew would soon be a blue so light it was almost white, almost white to match the swaying white grasses and rolling white landscape of White Meadows. And, not for the first time, Cermak felt immensely glad that he was the lead stallion of one of the most beautiful territories in the land... or, at least, he felt that it was so. He could not have possibly chosen a better place to make his herd, he felt.

Misty Dawn[/u] The mare nuzzled the stallion in return. She sighed happily; glad that she now had a place in the area she had called home for the last year and that she wouldnt have to leave and try to find a place within another herd. "I thank you Cermak; This place has always seemed like home to me" she turned her head from him to cast her eyes across the land; soon it would be white and would swallow her up. She said no more; just stood contented next to the tall; handsome stallion. [/b] ooc: do you want to bring CR and the foals into this post?

[OOC: Sure xD If you wouldn't mind playing four charries at once xD]
Cermak smiled again, touching his nose to her. "I am glad that it is so," he said cheerfully, his old age showing almost unexpectedly in his dark eyes, which were unusually warm and gentle today.
The sun rose within a few minutes. Soon, the Meadows were awash with morning's delicate, pale light. He knew that the peaceful silence and the beautiful expanse of white would soon be broken when the mares and all of his daughters rose. The girls would be frolicking, and the splashes of stunning color would be dancing across the terra... fiery chestnut, jet black, demure, golden dun. His old eyes were beginning to fail him, but he knew that he would be able to pick out his mares and daughters at a glance... and hear them, as well.

ooc: haha; im not bothered. bic: A Misty Dawn
Misty Dawn[/u] The mare stood; silently watching the light cast its way over the land. She let her eyes wonder over the land. "Your world will awaken soon" Misty Dawn said tossing her head comically and fllicking her ears towards the stallion and looking at him cheekily. "Are you sure you wise enough to handle all these young mares youve accumilated? And the foals you will have?" she asked; flicking her tail to rid herself of flies. She was in season - though for how much longer she was unsure. [/b]

A light smile came to his usually emotionless and stonelike face. "I have lived many years with many mares and many foals. I believe I know how, if you will forgive me for lack of modesty," he said in his deep, grave voice, bowing his head at Misty Dawn but saying no more. Cermak still grew a bit uncomfortable at the thought of his slightly shoddy history. It wasn't as if he was an dishonorable stallion... it was simply that, no matter how many years he had spent doing it, the old, wise Appaloosa sometimes didn't want to face the facts. He'd had a tough life, and he thought that he deserved a bit of peacefulness... without being muddled up by his past mistakes, which were numerous and sometimes enormous.

Misty Dawn[/u][/b] The mare snorted and nudged him softly. "There is nothing to forgive" she said with a slight toss of her head as she moved off to one side and side stepped to one side. "As you know that I have had my fair share of a lively life in my short years; and not all i care to drag back up to the present day." Turning her eyes swiftly to one side away from Cermak she lifted her eyes to the skyline to see..... Lifting her muzzle to the airshe let a soft neigh escape her delicate nostrils. Her dark eyes large flicked swiftly from the horizion to Cermak.
