Lottie trotted her way into a deserted haven. It was peaceful quiet and large for Autumn to stretch her legs yet be in no danger at all. So she motioned for Autumn to play so that she could rest for a while. "Go and play for a while Autumn, mummy is tired." she said before she let out a yawn. As her brown optics spotted a perfect place to rest she dashed over instantly without hesitation and settled down for a nap. For a while she sat and ate what was left of the grass around her before she became more docile, her eyes got heavy, her head started to fall. THUMP! She was fast asleep and dreaming of the days when Autumn was getting dragged in to the box by their owners. She was a stubborn baby but rather amusing none the less.
Autumn done as her mother wished and just wandered around, within seeing her mother of course. She took a dip in the water and drank deeply. Then she decided to eat a little so grazed directly infront of where her mother slept but she grew bored of eating. Turned on her hind legs and galloped off in a run around the lake being careful not to fall in or make any noise. She enjoyed herself. As she wore herself out she trotted over to her mum, sided up and slept next to Lotties large heaving belly.

A beautiful black Friesian mare, bearing no signs of ever having been pregnant, came into Foal Fields at a brisk trot, looking over her shoulder occasionally to make sure that her filly was still close behind.
It was a beautiful fall afternoon, and although there weren't too many flowers in the field, the fresh smell of the air was still very pleasant. Antoinette was in a particularly good mood, and had decided to take little Kira to Foal Fields so that she could seek out her company herself.
This was her first foal, and she often found motherhood tiring. However, the joys far outnumbered the duties, and she was indeed worried about leaving Kira alone for the first time... not long ago, she had left Kira for the first time back in White Meadows, with the two other mares in her herd to watch over her. But leaving her daughter entirely alone was a different story.
However, she had firmly decided that it was time she treated herself a bit, like she had before she had become a mother.
"Kira, come along now," she called softly to her daughter, and the filly hurried to catch up on wobbly legs.
Kira bounced along at her mother's side, staring around her with bright eyes. She was entirely black, like her mother, but with slightly more slender legs as well.
"Where are we, Mother?" she asked softly, looking up with adoring eyes at Antoinette. The mare smiled.
"This place is called Foal Fields, dearest. We haven't been here before, but this place is meant for young ones just like you, and no scary things ever come here... no, this place is perfectly safe!" Kira's entire face lit up at the very thought.
"Then why don't horses just stay here forever if it's safe here?" she asked eagerly. Antoinette laughed lightly, tossing her jet black mane.
"Because this place is only for little ones. Once you're not a little one anymore, you can be here," she said gently. "But you're still a little one, and I'm still the mother of a little one, so we can both be here until you grow up in a nice strong mare." Kira nodded in understanding.

Lottie awoke to the soud of another mother and foal talking to one another, her ears pricked up as she heaved herself up from the ground she had rested upon noticing that Autumn was still pretty much asleep. She moved away from her and walked toward the mother, "Excuse me!" she called out after letting out a nicker.
Lotties head swung back to check that she didn't awake her daughter, although she probably did. Then brought her head back. "May I ask what the name of this place is ?" she asked politly. Then checking back over to the spot which her daughter slumbered, except, no Autumn. nuts shes awake! she loved her daughter to bits but often was...well...rude. She got that from her father !!
Autumn slept by her mothers heaving sides for a little while, untill she felt her mum get up. Then she knew why, other horses !! Though she looked like she was asleep she knew her mother wouldn want her to come over, so she pretended to sleep. But the excitement was unbareable !! A mother meant a foal, a foal meant a playmate, a playmate meant a friend...the excitement got too much for her so she threw herself up of her sides onto her small hooves.
Autumn sent her muzzle out into the air to search for the company, which, made her run right into her mother. Oh no !! she thought to herself as she smiled up at her mum and slightly apologized. She bowed down to the mother that stood infront of her and smiled sweetly. "Forgive my barging in mother, but I got excited at the sight of company." she looked at the mare then back to her mother. Autumn then backed off behind her mother into her large shadow.

The elegant black mare smiled gently at the new mare. She looked like very weary, and in that moment she was thankful, for the millionth time, that her own daughter was quiet when told and usually quite obedient. "It is called Foal Fields, this terra," she said after a moment of studying the dapple gray. "Only foals and their mother can enter this place. However, I take it you are new in this land, since you knew not of this place before?"
However, the moment she saw the little one, a smile lit up her face. "No, no, you didn't barge in at all," she said cheerfully to the bay filly. "What a polite little girl!"
The shy, leggy filly scurried behind her mother the moment the other mare approached... not because she was shy at all, but more because she needed a place of cover to investigate the new arrival. Why is she allowed here? she wondered to herself. Didn't Mother say that only little ones were allowed?
But then, the other filly approached, and Kira thought that this mare must be her mother. The bay was her own age, and looked about her size as well.
"Hello," she said brightly, stepping around her mother. "My name is Kira, what's yours?"

Lottie smiled cheerfully at the praise her daughter recieved but she wasn't getting off with her that easy. "Good girl for apologising, but for barging in...go play." she said with a slight harsh tone. She swiftly thrusted her head upward to the other mare, "Yes, we are new. She has learned her lesson to apologise from the last time" she giggled slightly and continued, "...so how long have you been here ?" she asked politly.
Autumn lept sideways from her mothers shadow and out to Kira the other filly. "Hey, my name is Autumn." she said cheerfully after backing away from her mothers bulky dapple grey figure. She danced around Kira playfully and nickered to her. "So how long have you lived here for?" she asked with intrigue. As she moved away slightly she grazed while in wait for the answer to the question she had asked Kira. She looks around my age, seems weary like me and alike me too. she thought to herself as she studied Kira momenterily.

Antoinette nudged her daughter along gently. "Go play," she told Kira, smiling. "Mother will have a talk with Autumn's mother." Her daughter obliged happily.
Turning, she smiled at the friendly mare, a Kiger Mustang. "I was one of the first mares to arrive here," she said lightly, turning her head so her dark eyes, that almost looked navy blue if the light hit them the right way, could survey the terra. Although she knew that no stallions or predators could come here, she instinctively kept an eye out for dangers.
"I made my home in White Meadows," she continued in a pleasant voice, "As the lead mare of my stallion, Cermak, who is also the lead stallion of the terra. There are several other mares there that do make excellent company, but I felt it might be nice for Kira... my daughter, that is... to get out a little bit and perhaps meet others her age. In fact, I was planning on leaving her on her own for a bit, give her a taste of independence, while I took a bit of a jaunt to Mare Lake, as I haven't been there in quite a bit. But, of course, I wouldn't leave you without company."
The little black filly rushed away towards where Autumn grazed. "I was born here," she piped cheerfully. "In White Meadows... it's a terra that's south of here. I live there with my father and mother, and Aunty Dawn and Aunty Aya and Uncle Rowdy and..." Kira was always very proud of her large family, but she thought that she might bore the bay if she talked too much about them.

Lottie nodded with interest, Mare Lake sounds like haven but Atumn might be freaked out if I left her...I am sure she would cope. she thought to herself. "Well you have stirred up some interest in me...I have kept only Autumns company since I birthed her, and it would be nice to take a little breather." she paused as she looked over to her daughter then back over to Antionette, "May I join you, you may lead the way as I haven't a clue where it is." she said cheerfully.
Lottie called out to Autumn, "My dear, mummy is just going away for a little bit with Kira's mother. Behave yourself !" she said seriously with a look over to Autumn.
Autumn chuckled a little as the little black filly rushed toward her spot. "So you have a large family ! I was born captive, I had plenty of friends but none of my own age...most were humans, always giving me treats and petting me. When me and mummy escaped we never joined a herd for we never felt comfortable within the territories so we kept on moving." she spoke as she shook her frizzy short mane. "I never knew my father...my mummy thinks it best. Your lucky...you know your father.." she heaved out a huge slightly silant sigh.

The black Friesian smiled at the gentle mare, undoubtedly a rather nervous first-time mother like she was. "I would certainly love to show you around," she said cheerfully. "I would love any company, really." Turning to her daughter, she called, "You and Autumn play nicely, now, Mother is going to take Autumn's mother over to Mare Lake so we can talk a little bit." Her daughter hardly noticed, only nodding in Antoinette's direction.
Chuckling, the mare turned to Autumn's mother. "Very well, then," she said brightly. "Shall we?"
Little Kira hardly heard her mother or cared where they were going. She was intent on Autumn, her new playmate.
"Captive?" she asked, intrigued. Her mother and father had explained the difference between captive and wild horses to her before, but she had never met one before, neither had she ever seen a human. However, by her mother and father's descriptions, she didn't want to, really.
"So you like the humans, then?" she asked, a bit confused. "I-if you liked them so much, why did you and your mother come out here into the wild?"

Lottie smiled attentivly at the black friesian mother. They tended to get along rather well. "Lead the way, my dear !" she said cheerfully. Noticing her daughter rather missing captivity she too did !! Most equines would think her foolish but she had a good life, working with humans, playing with the children even being taken out to hack ! She loved every moment, but she knew it would be best for Autumn to grow up wild. She dismissed the very thoughts and memories and started a converstion up with Antionette, "How long have you been wild for ?? How long a mother ??" she asked as she began to move around her.
Autumn looked sad at Kira and let out a huge sigh before answering, "Yes, humans are like horses, some good and some bad. I was lucky to be born into kind caring human hands. Me and my mother got spooked, ran away. We never looked back untill we could no longer see our owners and friends, we really got lost and continued to wander. Sometimes I wish I could go back, see my father, however I know I can't." she sighed once more and grazed to gather her emotional status together. She missed Guy, Champ, Goldy, Indy, Sadie, Marella, Mary and Yorkie and Angel....heck she missed them all !! Even the show horses; Spirit, Sky, Amber, Bobby, Mexico, Tommy, Rosie and Storm and Oxo...yes the proud stuckup horses !!

Antoinette sighed. The usual small talk mares brought up, but she herself always deplored the necessity of finding out another's history, although she answered the other's questions readily, knowing she was merely curious.
"I was born wild... an orphan," she said, after a few moments of silence, although she lowered her voice significantly so that her daughter would not hear. She had never talked to Kira about her own mother, or how she herself had grown up... it was something she didn't wish to be on the little filly's mind, and she knew that it constantly would be, should her daughter ever find out.
"Kira was born in spring," she said, breaking the silence that had fallen yet again. She realized she must be terrible to hold a conversation with, her so constantly drifting away in her thoughts today...
The little black filly tilted her head, first to one side, then the other, her soft, dark eyes studying her newest playmate very curiously. She's had a weird life, Kira decided after a moment. She was born in captivity, but liked her humans, but she and her mother ended up running anyways... and she never even knew her father! How weird! Kira didn't know anyone that had such a strange history... but then again, her being so young, she didn't tend to ask about horse's histories when she first met them.
Which made her begin to wonder... How did Mother come to the wild? How did she meet Father? And how did Father come to the wild? Kira had never been told these things by her parents, and was suddenly immensely curious about it, although she resolved to ask her parents about it later, after a bit of thinking.
"So... if they were nice to you, why did you and your mother run away again...?" Kira had always had either her mother or father or uncle or one of her aunties around to protect her, and being bold and adventurous she didn't quite understand the concept of being "spooked."

Lottie was silant for a little while, trying to remember what an orphan was. "Oh an orphan... so.. might I ask... what happened to your parents ?? A spring baby, a full two seasons before Autumn. No wonder why they get along so well." she said cheerfully. Lottie didn't want to sound depressing or unintrested, she was never really good at the signs when to shut up.... probly why she had so many friends herself they hardly ever shut their traps.
Autumn smiled. She had a rollercoater ride of a past, up and down moments. She truely missed all the other captive horses, even though most were older than her, they were still their at her birth and their for her when she needed them ! Her head snapped up at Kira's words, she stood silant once more just to recall what happened. "Well, a girl was leaning on the fence to our pen, where me and my mum were grazing like normal, the fence broke. It brushed behind me and my mums flank. We got scared and ranaway. I can remember hearing Guy follow after us both with a rider on his back, calling after us to slow down. I did but my mum didnt hear him and I didnt want to be left parentless so I just followed mother." she kept pausing and thinking, squinting her optics into slits... she just hoped Kira got it now. She then turned around Kira, the little black filly. Pouncing, bounding, jumping. "Have you ever asked your parents where they came from ??" she asked, the first question she got in from Kira's intrigued mind.

Antoinette sighed a bit, looking out over the other mare's head. "I suppose I shall never know what happened to my parents," she said after a bit of a silence. "I never thought to ask, really... what happened in the past stays in the past." Her dark eyes flicked towards the scar on her wither, and she felt the sting as if she and her mother had been attacked only yesterday, as if only yesterday she had been nought but a filly, almost a mare, helpless and injured and alone.
But after a bit, the sting left her, and the Friesian sighed again, shaking out her black mane. It was time she stopped thinking about the past entirely.
"So, what about you?" she asked lightly, seeking to keep the conversation as casual as possible. "Were you born wild?" From the mare's countenance, she guessed not, but she would let this mare tell her story.
By now, Kira had tilted her head so far to the right that she was nearly falling over and looked immensely ridiculous. But, being young as she was, looking ridiculous was forgivable.
"Fence?" she asked, her dark eyes alight as she thought about what the word could possibly mean. "What's a fence, then? A type of tree? There aren't any fences around here... there are firs, if that's what you meant. But firs don't break so often, do they?"

Lottie sighed along with the black Friesian mare. Her story was typical of an escapee equine, yipee. "I agree... although it does help to remember what was the past, afterall your future may depend on it. So thats what I was told by my mother as a child." she stooped her head down and sighed. "I was born to a small breeding farm. My mum was a well known halter broadmare champ and my father a western/english three time national champion, loads of ribbons and prizes won basicly. I was a young prospect. Unfortunatly the owners had to keep only a few horses and sell the rest for money, I was on the 'reluctant-to-sell-true-young-prospect' list so I was sold onward. But ... they bred me so they could sell me for more. I never even met or saw Autumns father, but he was a dressage prospect. So I was sold to a riding school, they renamed me and broke me more or less. Then came Autumn, suprise for all except me... so anyway she was a few months old when the fence broke. A gurls wait made it cave in behind our backs and hit my flank." she paused and looked at the hardly noticable scar. "I got spooked ran... I could hear my friends calling for me to 'slow down' but I didn't. After a few miles I relised I was too far from home to go back, I was lost... so me and Autumn just kept traveling on, only stopping for water, food and the odd company. Otherwise this is the first time we have actually stayed in one place for more than two weeks !!" she smiled over to Antionette.
Autumn smiled at Kira as she nearly fell over from thinking too hard. She thought that it would be best to explain. "A fence, made of wood... it was old wood, flattened so its straight, like the sky. Its like a stop sign or cage to be more precise. Firs are plants." she smiled and nodded wildly at the expression she was waiting to appear on Kira's maw. She chased her around calling to her. She came to a brook, stooped her head down and drank deeply. Was she babysitting Kira or what ?! At least thats what she felt like she was doing.

The black Friesian mare shook her mane out, sighing a bit. All the fancy human terms for certain types of horses blew right over her head... broodmare... prospect... dressage... oh, she'd heard it all before, from other once-captive horses she had met, and she thought it all complete rubbish.
"Well, I'm glad you like it here," Antoinette said, a tiny bit wearily, after the mare's barrage. "I'm sure you'll be able to find a satisfactory herd here... there are many kind stallions about." The black mare was contented with the family she had now... she sometimes thought that all that talk about getting bigger and bigger herds was completely garbage. What was wrong with a small family, really, so long as they all loved each other? That was the way it was at their herd in White Meadows. She did not yearn for more mares to keep her company... she had plenty right now, and they were like sisters to her, like aunts to her daughter.
The black filly nodded with understanding as she pictured it in her head, although her imagining was quite far from what the real thing looked like. However, her mind was jerked away as Autumn galloped off to get a drink.
Kira was thirsty and wasn't about to follow Autumn just for company, so she loitered about a bit, thinking about what she and her newest playmate had talked about as she waited for Autumn to come back. The filly had never really asked about where her parents had came from, or what they knew about captivity. She'd never thought of it. She knew that she would never be captive... of course, no horse could really know this, as humans were constantly getting around, but she was young and allowed to think as she did.

Lottie loitered around a little to answer. Afterall if she was wild and was told so many terms she would be dizzy by now. "You have no clue how much I miss home. For now, untill Autumn is old enough to be left alone, I shall stay. Then I will leave to journey home. Wild . . . me, no but perhaps Autumn." she said with a heaving sigh. Lottie was not planning on staying but Autumn was if she liked it or not. Her daughter deserved to be wild and it was also up to her is she wanted to come or not, she hoped not. "It would be nice to have somewhere to stay without being stuck with the herd." she thought loudly as she walked at Antionettes side.
Autumn shivered as her winter coat had not fully grown to prepare for the winter ahead. The cold winds blew across her small bare frame. "Sure not thirsty Kira ?!" she shouted out over to Kira. As she drank and started to move away from the brook she began to think of the warm stable she was always led into from the pasture, snuggling right up next to her mum. With goldie, indy, hadleigh, baron, sky, cocoa, scarlet, oxo and george and sadie making noise in their stables next to hers. The humans having a feeding schedual and the attention... she missed it all and wasn't cut out to be wild. At least thats what she thought. "Have you ever thought of ... ya' know ... being captive ?? being with a human ??" she asked Kira as he little black stature stared into space blankly.

The black mare regarded her fellow mother with slight curiosity. So she broke out but she doesn't want to be wild? she thought to herself with a bit of a sigh.
Casting a quick glance over her shoulder to where Autumn and her own daughter chatted away, she murmured, "Autumn seems happy enough... but how do you know she wouldn't rather be with..." She stopped for a moment, and considered what she was about to say. There were precious few horses that wanted to be captive, who had loved their humans, and yet...
What a strange pair this is indeed, she mused to herself with a bit of a smile.
"How do you know Autumn wouldn't rather be with the humans, like yourself?" Antoinette asked, after a moment of silence.
Kira tilted her head to one side, and then the other, as was her habit, and after a few moments merely shook it, a slightly disbelieving expression on her face.
"W-well... I don't know anyone who really thinks about that, y-you know? Like, usually..." The filly stopped herself here, wondering if she sounded too much like she thought Autumn was stupid. She didn't, Autumn was really quite clever, she was sure... but her new playmate was also clearly quite unsure of wild ways.
And at that point in time, the young foal decided to take it upon herself to educate her friend.
"Usually," she said, in a much more businesslike voice, "Wild horses who've escaped captivity hate humans, y'know? Or at least, every wild horse I've met so far!"

Lottie looked at Antionette then back at her daughter before answering, "She is a free spirit, does not like to be bossed around... unlike me she is independent, without a push in the right direction or being told what to do then I have not a clue how to think for myself. She can, she thinks for herself and would be an asset to any herd." she smiled weakly at the black friesian mare she held companion that moment. It broke her heart, but her daughter would be safe. Their owners would think that she did not survive the winter and died if she returned alone without Autumn by her side. "If I left you in charge of caring for my daughter, would you raise her into being a fine young level headed young lady so that one day she could prehaps find her way back to me ??" she asked with a heaving sigh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Autumn slightly joked with her new found playmate, Kira. She laughed before she answered her little black compadrea. "As I have said before, like horses, their are good and bad. I was born into good hands, not ones that would abuse me like so many now wild horses had been born into or found there way to. I doubt I would ever return, it must be miles away from here !! I think I could remember though ..." she smiled. Then the more she thought about the route home the more she could remember, the exact path. She would hold onto that till she was old enough to return. It would be a while yet but she would, they would, eventually !! They both loved there humans, she loved them, she knew the risk and the training she had to face ... yet she thought it worth it, most thought she was mad !! but she thought as long as she had company that she would be fine. The paint colt trotted into the fields reserved for foals. The sea of emerald bladed swayed back and forth in the warm spring winds. Hawkeye should've been here with his mother. He wasn't. He didn't have one. The little colt had been forced to grow up alot, lately. There was a constant feud between Rosemont and Tiger. To be true, he was growing tired of it. Daggers passed the ground as he sighted two fillies. Perhaps he could play with them for a while. He grew closer, one of the fillies was black,. He called out, a bit nervous.
"Hello?"
Antoinette was slightly surprised at the stout mare's proposal. Of course, she had been musing about how nice it would be... Autumn and Kira already seemed to be quite good friends. But she had never imagined that the mother herself, near-desperate to give her daughter a good life, would ask Antoinette to raise Autumn herself.
The Friesian bowed her head for a brief moment, before saying, "I would be honored, and I will do my best to raise her as I can... but..." She paused for a moment. "And yet, Autumn will undoubtedly remember you... don't you think she would really rather stay with you?"
At a small hello, the black mare turned to see a colt, standing alone. An orphan? she thought, surprised.
"Hello," she said lightly to the young colt. "Have you come here to play?"
The black filly tilted her head to the side slightly at her new friend's words. "Do you really think you would be able to remember where they were... even though you came so far away from there?" Kira found this a very interesting thought, actually. She seemed to be thinking about more things today that she hadn't even cared about previously... how strange. However, she liked it... she did. She wished that she could stay with Autumn, her friend who made her think... But, she knew that Autumn couldn't stay forever.
Her head turned as the new colt entered. "Hello!" she called brightly. "Oh, oh yes, if you came to play, then you can join Autumn and I! My name is Kira!"
Lottie tilted her neck and thought long and hard before giving a reply, "She would yes, but with her memory she will find her way back to me. I want her to be wild. I want the best for my little girl and with you she will get it." she smiled at her friend then moved off to eat. She looked at Autumn with a smile, knowing she would belong to a herd with her best friend yet ! Then her head moved to look at the little colt, an orphan. "Hello young one." she smiled then continued to rip up the grass.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Autumn pranced around the colt, "Hi, what might be your name ??" she smiled toward him. Then tilting her head at Kira, "I will be able to remember, I can already the exact distinctive sights, smells and equines. I wouldn't leave right this minute because I cant ... mum might lose me and I dont want to end up a quick snack for any predators like cougars or wolves." she smiled sarcasticly and rolling her eyes. Walking around the colt she noticed he was particulary fragile and quiet for a usual colt.

He heard the first filly speak, saying her name was Kira. play... What was this play thing? How did you do it? His orbs swiveled to the two mares, looking at him as if he were some orphan. He snorted. Well, he wasn't. "I think so, ma'am." He looked towards the other mare. "Morning, Miss." The other filly began to circle him like a shark, which made him feel somewhat uncomfortable. And boy oh boy did she love to talk. Hawkeye was almost a yearling now, he was a bit taller than Chorrito. The paint colt nodded his head towards the first filly. "Pleasure to meet you." What was his name again? He hadn't heard it in such a long time. "Hawkeye"

Antoinette smiled gently at the colt, who looked almost nervous as her bubbly daughter bounced around him.
"You three play well, now," she told them softly. "Autumn, I believe that a bit of a tour for your mother is in order... so she might know her way around." The mare almost added, If she ever comes back, but then realized that Autumn didn't know of her mother's plan to leave.
Turning to her stout companion, she smiled again, even more brilliantly this time. "Mare Lake would be a nice place to start," the Friesian said offhandedly. "Of course, neither of us will be able to enter the Circle 'O Stallions, but we might meet some others at the Watering Hole or the Fathering Fountain."
Kira tilted her head to one side as she examined the colt that had just arrived. Hawkeye... why, that was an interesting name! She wondered, briefly, why his parents had named him so... look very sharp-eyed to her. But she also noticed that, for some reason, he looked confused, almost out of place... The cheerful little filly promptly decided to take it upon herself to make him feel more in place.
"This is my friend Autumn," the black filly said brightly. "Do you want to play with us? We can see who can run from one side of the field to the other first!" This was one of Kira's favorite games.

A smile grew on Lotties face. Then her glance seemed to fix on watching the foals play, if you could call the colt a foal. "I believe so, shall we head to the watering hole first ??" she asked Antionette with a smile. Then making a cheerful calm nod at the colt that acknoledged her. "Autumn, dont go showing off or being bossy while we are gone ya' hear ?!" she gave a stern gaze to her hyper daughter then lifted it to soften knowing her daughter felt the pressure and smiled to the others and spoke, "If she starts to get bossy just give her a little nip" she winked at them before continuing, "otherwise have fun !!" she stopped and nudged Antionette to move out.[[OOC:: Flyff yoo can create the thread when yoo have time ]] A cheerful smile grew on Autumns face. She looked at Kira then back to Hawkeye"Names Autumn, the little black brass filly is Kira." she smiled then looked over to Kira at her idea of a game and she lept with joy. Soon her mother had something to say about her though so she rolled her eyes and continued to say, "Lets race !! I bet i'll win" she smiled and nudged Hawkeye to cheer him up. Within a few moments she was set at full gallop relying on her stamina to keep her going till the end but she began to slow down to check that the other pair were behind her, or at least running after her just to catch up. She threw her head back and a loud neigh escaped her maw, with that challenge how could they not want to catch up but with many horses they could think of it as a chuckle at the competition being so slow... but that was restricted to the really competitive types.

He nodded to the mares before they left the fields. His attention was then turned back to the outrageously confident filly. "Hawkeye, pleasure to meet you also." He felt the nudge, the beating of his heart to run. That's what his ancestors did, so why would it stop with him? The paint had never felt the joys of playing before, he was too caught up in, well, other's wars. He sighed, before perking up a bit. The filly, Autumn, seemed to be quite sure of herself winning, even though Hawkeye would grow to be taller than her. He hated over confident foals, but did not express it, it was just his opinion. Hawkeye took off, sprinting hard, legs stretching out and hitting the ground. He lowered his neck, and found he could go faster. With pure speed and stamina, he caught up with the bay filly, running neck to neck with her. Slowly, but surely, he passed her, accumulating great speeds and winning the race. He turned around to see where the others were.

Autumn was ahead of them all but while she slowed down the colt began to catch up. It was neck to neck. She didn't win with speed, of course it wasn't bred into her but her Stamina put up a fight ... it wasn't till the last furlong that Hawkeye passed her. Well ... she thought it seems my competitive nature got hold of him too. she smiled at her pleased thought. "Looks to me as if you needed that run to perk you up !!" she smiled at him with his huffing and puffing she was taking steady deep breathes like her mother taught her on the road, they had to travel a distance and out run any predators. Autumn pricked up her head and searched for Kira, she didnt hear the galloping hoofbeats or chatter from her as they ran and she grew worried, "KIRA !!!" she pricked up her ears and cantered a bit to get a view from where they started the race. No sign of her. "Now where has she got to ?!" she said in a loud mumble. Loud enough for Hawkeye to see she was worried "She's my best friend." she said as she heaved out a long sigh. [/color]

Kira roared with childish laughter as she dashed the opposite direction of the two. Autumn and Hawkeye seemed well-matched in speed, but...
"When did I say it had to be that side of the field?" she called playfully to the two. "After all, this side's closer!" However, she saw Autumn suddenly stop running, and sigh rather wearily, almost unhappily.
Now who would be unhappy while they're play? Now isn't that weird? Isn't she just a weird friend? the filly thought to herself. She cantered gracefully to where Autumn and Hawkeye stood to examine her friend carefully.
"Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Are you tired? Do you need a drink?" Of course, the little filly didn't know that rapid-fire questions weren't always the best thing for a tired horse.

He felt happy about winning the race, he felt that he had knocked the filly down a peg or two. He raised his painted head to the skies, where dusk was gathering. There was the moon, his friend shinning heavanly in the abyss of skies. Hawkeye smiled, then frowned. There was something different about the pearly moon this evening. It shone, but gave off an eerie glow, almost like it was pointing to something....
He shook his head, looking at Kira and Autumn. Minutes passed, but his "moon lust" was growing stronger. He could barely stand still. The colt felt obligated to follow the shine, just to find out what would happen. He glanced at the fillies.
"I really hate to leave, but I..." He paused, not wanting to blurt out his secret. "I have to be somewhere..."
He thanked the fillies, and set of, glancing occasionally at the beautiful moon.

Autumn looked at Kira then at the colt Hawkeye, he was staring rather oddly at the moon and all of a sudden had to be somewhere ?! she nodded goodbye then reared while he made off shouting as loud as possible, "See you soon Hawkeye !!" throwing her head back wildly. Then turning to Kira to silent her, "Kira I am just fine ! I just dont like to be left with strangers that daydream at the moon !!" she chuckled with a smile. "So are we racing or what now ?! TAG !!" she screeched then setting off at a canter away from Kira to where she had said the finishing line for the race was with a huge grin on her maw... she loved to confuse her fellow species.
