History: When he was young bachelor, Droom was kicked out of his herd by the lead stallion, as is custom for wild horses. He roamed alone, hopelessly trying to find a group of others like him to protect him from the dangers of the wild: mountain lions, wolves, even the weather. After seven whole sunrises, he found what he was looking for: a herd of bachelor stallions. He readily joined up with them, and for a month they drifted together, some finding stray mares and leaving to start their own herds, some being killed by nature’s dangers. New replaced old, and Droom moved on. He knew better than to get attached to any stallions in his “herd.” Eventually, they’d either die, or end up his bitter rivals. Until that time, however, there was peace. And once the month ended, they found the Sunshine River.

It was like a ray of hope for this cast-out stallion. Looking at it, he knew he had somewhere great to be, and this was the beginning of his journey. He whinnied and took off without looking back, following the river into the horizon.
