History: Bindaree's dam was a pureblood Arabian that jumped her farm's paddock fence. She ventured into the wilderness, met a feral stallion of unknown bloodlines, and joined his harem. A year later, she foaled Bindaree. Everything went along smoothly, not a single sign of humans, no life-threatening problems until Bindaree's fourth winter. The conditions were horrible and uncomfortable; the wind was biting and the snowstorms nearly buried the herd's two small foals once. Luckily, they pulled through. The following spring, the snow melted and accumulated in a river that winded through their terrain. Bindaree alone had seen how full the river was, and the strain it was putting on the natural dam. She knew it would bust soon; however, she put this of partly because she did not think the damage it could possibly do would be that serious, and partly because she was beginning to grow into a mare and handsome stallions wishing to court her greeted her every morning.

The dam busted four days after Bindaree noticed it. The water rushed through the land like wildfire, sweeping the horses off their feet. Many drowned and others were captured by humans after losing their sense of direction. The young snow-hued mare was not physically harmed, for she had been off with her young male friends. When she returned to her land to find it swamped, she automatically panicked and ran to Sunshine River.
