Name: Sunstorm
Age: 10
Breed: Arabian/ Akhal-Teke
Height: 16hh
Color: palomino with reddish tinge
Eye Colour: indigo
Gender: Male
Markings: Star
History: It was a bright and sunny day in the hottest Summer on record at Windsong Farms. One mare was dozing in her box, awaiting the arrival of her foal.
Suddenly the sky began to darken and within 5 minutes it was almost night time dark and a heavy rain began to pour down. The mare began pacing as birthing pains acted up. But all the humans were busy rushing other horses inside.
Just then a bright flash of lightning hits a weathervane with a sun design dropping it to the ground in front of the Mares box, as the following clap of thunder roared the mare gave birth to her foal.
It was a small red creature which stood up relatively quickly once it figured out where all its legs went.
Sunstorm was what the humans called the colt and he was part of an experiment to create a new breed for events.
As he grew out of his baby coat he went from chestnut to palomino his coat had his mother’s metallic shimmer but he had a thicker mane and tail from his father. By the age of 3 he was out jumping the other foals of his year and sired several foals by age 8.
All sunstorm cared about though was running and jumping, he didn’t make friends with his barn mates… the only thing they cared about was how they were being spoiled. Sunstorm however only cared about his performance, he was only happy when he won, then once he had proved himself would he enjoy attention.
One day as he and a couple mares were being shipped to another facility something unsual happened all three horses had noticed the driver slurring when he spoke earlier. Now sunstorm noted he was going much faster than he ever had before, the trailer began rocking back and forth as the speed increased even further. The doors behind Sunstorm banged open and the stallion twisted his head to look out at the dark and empty road. By some sort of lucky chance the tether keeping him in place wasn’t as tight as it should be amd Sunstorm was able to turn around to face the road. The rocking increased Sunstorm braced himself and a good thing he did, the trailer swung and began to topple but Sunstorm jumped at the last second. Not badly injured Sunstorm went back to find the driver and both the mares were dead. And so he did the first thing that came to his mind… pick a direction and start walking.
