The big black stag walked around, alone as usual. His ears were back, for he was upset with himself. Trying to get a mare was all, about to take her, when he was cut off. His mind yelled at him as he walked, knowing that his attitude would have to change if he were to ever get a mare to call his own. He was a mean stallion when he saw mares with other stallions. He was aggressive to others, dangerous, rage-driven. He couldn't help it, he had been taught all his life to despise other stags, he knew of no other way. But he looked up, looking around to see if there was a mare around to try his gentle side on, which he had if absolutely no other stallions were around.

I walked alone the area for my second time once more. I wounded would things always be like this, would I ever find the perfect home to live in. I look around but see none. My name was Duet. I feel like I’m disliked here. My head bodes low as I think about life. How would I ever survive? I didn’t want to live in a harsh area with those who try to create your life hell. I then bumped into something. With that I jumped back with my head up to look upon a black stag. My orbs glance over him. I’m so sorry . I say in a sweet soft voice of apologizing to him. I didn’t mean to bump you. I look at him with a fright. But then I calm down and just hope he would not go off at her.

Eclipse didn't even notice the mare until she bumped him. He looked at her, his ears flicked back but perked forward as she spoke softly to him. He nickered "That is ok m'am." He didn't quite know what to say next but he stayed and looked over the mare, it was nice that she talked nicely to him, not screaming at him to get out of the way. He looked around quick before looking back to the mare. "You from around here?" He asked, it was a start.

I felt glade at how he spoke. It lest he didn’t yell and scream at me trying to look stronger then any other. I was glade of that. I smile to him and nod my head in a yes. Yes I’m from around here. Parsley new. I haven’t been every where but this land is one of the first I have been threw. I smile to him kindly. I wounded in my mind if he was lost or needed any help? I was always happy to help any one out. Though this was the claimers land so what would you more think of a reason for a stag to be here. Its common if one gets lonely for one, they will do all it takes to get one. It’s a bit like a love story to what others would say. But to me this stag was either lost or more looking for a mate to love. He didn’t look much of a greedy horse to me, or one who would want to mess around. I smile politely and wait for his answer.

Eclipse nodded, he knew of most of the lands here as well. He wasn't quite sure what to say next though. He shook his ebony coat slightly as the snow fell onto his back. His eyes for once in his life were soft and gentle, usually they were hard as nails and cold, but he felt as though he could let his gaurd down around the mare, she seemed very nice and sweet.

I smile to him gently as I part my soft maw to him. I’m Duet. I smile to him. I felt guilty that I hadn’t told him that before. But there is always another way to tell others. His ebony pelt was so lovely looking. Like as if he was the darkness himself. He was so handsome that he made me totally forget all about my last lover. I did miss him dearly but I know that I must go on with life and join another herd. My crest hocks and I awaited to hear the stags next words.

Eclipse smiled -gasp- , It was a rare sight but he did it. "Duet, what a beautiful name. " He ment it, most of the names he knew of were in a different language so that no one could pronounce such a name or something like Bloodlust or Dark Night, either gloomy or just weird, but Duet, what a beautiful name! "I am Eclipse" He said, he knew he should of said such a thing before, but oh well.
