History:Finch always lived his life in peace. His past herd was decent to him, being that he was the son of the lead mare and stallion, and was chosen to take over the herd once that moment came around. But not everyone felt the same about Finch leading their herd; he was soft and gentle, and quite the dreamer. His chivalrous ways and outlook on the world was not the personality that should take hold of the herd. They felt he could not care for them effectively. They feared that with his too-soft attitude their herd could easily be taken over by another stallion whose resolve was much stronger and their heart much darker than Finch's. With a well thought out and convoluted plan, they decided to use it against the stallion to be rid of him for good, and allow a stronger leader to take his place.
One of the mares in the herd approached Finch one day as the others were grazing--the leads a fair distance away from where they stood. The mare was a beautiful one, and Finch was fond of her from the start. Batting her eyes, she asked Finch to be with her, but on the condition that he find them a land of their own so they can start fresh and enjoy their lives together. Ecstatic about this proposal, Finch bowed his head to her, a gleam in his eyes. "I will go and find us a prospective territory," He said to her. "You can remain here until I do so. When I find one, I will return for you."
Tossing his head, feeling on top of the world, Finch left the territory immediately in search of a new home for he and the mare. Almost two weeks passed before he returned back to his home, with news that he had found them a place to live, with plenty of space to grow as a herd. But when he returned, not a soul was to be found. The territory was vacant, and Finch was left standing there with a broken heart and a sense of abandonment. His own herd left him. Feeling somewhat sour, but cheerily thinking that this was definitely a way to a fresh start, he left the territory in search of something new. Eventually he came upon Sunshine River, and has remained here in hopes of turning his life around.
