BABY ANIMALS!!! My best friend's mom has Quarters, and this year two of them were due. Well, the first one is now about a week and half: And the second one? Saturday, I was at said friend's house, and her mom looks out the window and starts screaming PEACH IS HAVING HER BABY!!! So I saw a horse being born that day. We had to pull her out in the end, though, the mare couldn't do it herself. But both are fine now, as proven by this picture: Both are fillies, the grullo on top will be sold to their friend Brett as was prearranged and the dun on the bottom will be kept. So... aren't they cute?

incredibly so!
Lucky swede, being allowed to see a foal being born. Pony's mare never allowed for that *grumbles*
one thing though...... the back pasterns on the bottom foal.... was that just the way she was standing for the photo, or is she genuinely that low?

I think it's the angle of the camera, my friend took it with her phone and the foal is sort of sideways so it makes it look funny... plus she's only been standing for about 5 minutes in the picture, so she's not too steady either...

I never getm uch time ot be around my horses, or others, but i have been able to see a 1 day old foal and it's mother. He was all square...
Yes, those girls are cute. I sure hope they have a happy and carefree life, seeing as the horse values today are so low...
