Apne was born and trained in the fields of Avershon. Though never having fought in battle, she was raised around the destriers to learn her commands. As a typical riding horse, she was well trained, but she longed for the beautiful manuevers of the destriers. That was around when she met him. Though his name started with an E, she did not remember his name any more. She only remembered his lovely blue roan color. Together they cantered the fields and together they fled the fires. Their foal was a lovely black and white filly which she named Alys. But Apne would never grow old with her blue love. He died soon after Alys was born, slaughtered by wolves while he struggled in the deep snows.
Apne and Alys continued on, led by visions of white fields and blue sky, Avershon itself. But Apne could feel herself growing weak with each step and Alys was questioning her more about the lagging steps. Her flesh was still there, but her heart was breaking. Her heart itself seemed to be slowing down and weakening. She missed her blue love, she missed Avershon, she missed her life. But she had to continue for her filly, Alys. She had to move on.
