Chell was born after a Mustang stallion during a round- up bred with an expensive mare that was being boarded at the ranch. Chell spent her foal hood either tucked quietly away in her mother’s box or (once she was weaned) out in back pastures where few could see her. The little filly out on her own dreamed of running truly wild, no fences to stop her.

At the age of 3 she was sent to a trainer and returned “Well broken”. Her spirit was crushed and she barely thought of anything but what she was doing at the moment. she was then sold to a dude ranch where her nice trot and heavy stock made her a good mount for heavier tourists. This went on for years until one night Chell was left out in a paddock and heard the sounds of wild horses. Something she had forgotten woke up and Chell leapt her fence and ran into the wild.
