It was foretold, Avershon would rise once more. Though Avershon burned, the lush cream fields rendered black with burnt growth and the mighty stables of the once proud horses were as ashes in the wind, it was to be reborn like a pheonix rising from the ashes. The Gods were not done with Avershon and the mighty horses that they had bred. Though Palfreys and Destriers now freely interbred, they were unknowingly creating a tough and hardy war horse that would be needed in the uprising of the unfaithful.
Epona decreeded that the believers of Avershon congregate and be blessed, sending out her daughter, Ephrame, to bless the herds that have no way to reach Epona in Avershon. These blessed horses will need to stand for what they believe in when the false prophet rises against Avershon. Epona's word has spread far and wide, Avershon is as it is, a meadow and land for all horses, those bred here or not. Avershon is the guardian of the Crystal Fields, heaven for horses created by Epona and her mate, Poisidon. The Crystal Fields are as your heaven is to you, it is said.
Blackthorn has risen! his voice is heard far and wide across the land. Avershon is no more and the Crystal Ffields are a myth. His cult is spreading through the land to uprival Epona's message of love. His is a message of hate and blackness, how one must fend for themselves and have none to believe in as they live. Avershon was a myth to him, though it is said that he is descendent of the great Eros. He has decreed that any believer of Avershon will fall under his army or they will tremble at his name and beg that they be saved by him, the Dark Protector.
The Dark Protector is as Satan is to the humans. His fiery red hide could only symbolize the depths of fire that he has risen from, the stark blackness of his mane and tail representing the pitch of blackness of the sins that remain in the world of equine. He was born unto the darkest of the Gods, a powerful and hatred creature that wishes death and destruction on the land. Blackthorn worships this dark creature, his cult spreading by fear and death, hatred and rape.
A new uprising is coming to the land, will you join in and become welcome in the Crystal Fields or do you desire the dark passions of The Dark Protector? Only your heart can decide when Ephrame and Blackthorn come unto the land and you need not be born unto the Avershon lines to join this uprising.
