Name:Paradella
Bred: fresian shetland cross
Height: 13.3
Age:10
Colour: black
Eye colour: red
Markings: a white circle over the near side flank
Personality: grumpy, rude, stubborn but clever enouigh to know how to get what she wants. She wants to be the sole leader of wherever she is and she will stop at no one to get that. An inferiority complex also exists due to her height.
History: Paradella was what one would call a whoopsie foal, as in whoopsie that wasn't meant to come out of my womb. She was born into a herd of powerful and dark fresians, out of a beautiful, highly desireable mare. Unfortunately, a local piebald shetland stallion had also found her desireable and the resulting foal was not the purebred fresian colt that the herd leader had desired. The mare was severely punished for her obvious infedelity, and Paradella was punished for her freakish stature, although she did not understand why.
As a young filly, she was the bottom of the pecking order, punished by the colts and other fillies for her small size, her white mark and her mother's infedelity. As much as she resented it, Paradella soon learnt that she could cope with it by imagining a future where she was the queen of all these bozos.
One day, her "father", the herd leader, finally spoke to her for the first time. To her great surprise, he took her under his wing, and taught her the order of the lands. He showed her that the best way to rule was through fear. That fear could be gained through threats, and that threats must always be followed through. Paradella listened, absorbed, and resolved to make the horses her age suffer for treating her as they had. However, it turned out that in the classroom, Paradella was a star student, but when it came to the real world, nothing went according to plan. Her attempts to gain power over the other horses failed. Miserably. She was once again laughed at, and told that her father was only interested in her as a brood mare, since there was no risk of inbreeding. Paradella did her best to gain control, but eventually through a tantrum before dissovling into tears. She knew her father didn't think of her like that. She had been told she was special because her white mark was a sign from the gods.
Unfortunately, her father was indeed searching to use her for a brood mare, as Paradella found out most shockingly one dark and dreary evening. She assumed that he had scheduled another lesson for her, but as she found him, it became apparent that this was no lesson. Crushed by his weight, and torn apart she was broken, unwilling to believe that her mentor would do such a thing. In shame, and horror, she ran as far as she could, never willing to return.
For a few years now, she has been trying, and failing to gather enough small horses to help her crush the big evil ones. She knows that inspiring through a cause, followed by keeping through fear is effective. So far, she has been unsuccessful, but this time she will crush the big horses, especially anything that resembles her father.
