Eye Colour: black (yes, I know, impossible, but let us just say that her irisis are as dark as her coat)
Gender: Female
Markings: A slight scar on her fetlock. no colour markings, though.
Celestial Element: the moon
Terestial Element: Night
History:
Luna, as her name suggests, takes after the moon. She is shy, reclusive and romantic. However, she is not the silver of the moon, but a deep dark brown, almost black, like the dark side. She does not like the world knowing of the "moon goddess" that is Luna. Luna was born in the Land of the Heavans, which one of my characters has mentioned before, on a few occasions, and belonged to the lead mare and the lead stallion of the Herd of the moon, whom all shared similar traits to luna, although none were as beautiful as her, mainly due to the fact that her mother was stolen from the herd of venus by Luna's Father. It is not just her beauty, but the way that she holds herself, her mannerisms, even her ways of speaking that draw stallions to her. But Luna only had eyes for one stallion in particular. Perhaps I should let her tell the tale, she knows it better Than I do:
"He was so dark and so handsome, I could never resist him, the way he walked through the trees that night. I was only just four, he was an obvious six years old, with muscles rippling with each soft, fluid stride. *sighs* He was the one, I knew it, and when he saw me, he stopped for some time, looking. I do not think he knew that I could see him, whilst I was grazing, so I lifted my head, and observed his prescence in a more obvious manner. He trotted up to me gently, his feet never made a single noise over the grass. His coat was glowing in the night, as it were, seemingly lit by the sheen of the full moon that hovered above us. He paused for what seemed an eternity, looking at me, gently, like he was drinking in my entire soul. I didn't mind, for I was doing the same. We stepped sideways, mirroring each others movements, pivoting, slowly reaching
the middle, where our noses touched for the first time. It was, well, bliss. I knew from the softness that he loved me, and thought the world of me. I did too.
Each night from then on we would meet in that same clearing and dance beneath the moon and the stars. Dance, play and eat. But mainly dance, dance to mimic the stars and the moon above.
My herd found us one night, they watched in silence, and stood downwind. It was a custom of my family to melt into their surroundings in that way. Neither of us knew that they were there, until the next morning, when my father told me that he had seen us. He approved of my new found mate, and told me of an ancient prophecy. With his approval, I was delighted, We would be able to start our own herd. My father insisted that I stay with the herd, for now. Which I did. I loved the stallion, but I had to obey my father.
We met in the clearing the next night. I told him what I learnt, he already knew about the prophecy, he said, but had failed to tell me, for he did not realise until now what it had truly meant for us. He seemed saddened that night, there was something not right, I was about to ask when a Stallion from a rival herd burst into the clearing. He was from the Herd of Mars, and was angered, as that herd often was. He claimed that my dark stallion had taken me from him. He declared that no such thing could have happened. My stallion warned me to back off head for the trees, without even turning his head from this new threat. I had to obey my love. I had not told him that this stallion had been after me for a long time now, as an ossession, not a simple courting."
Upon questioning she would go no further, except to say that she was knocked from behind, and awoke the next morning to find her love gone, and the stallion of Mars dead in the clearing. She panicked, why would he leave her like this? What had he done? Weeks of searching revealed nothing, so she returned to her herd to live a normal life, trying to court other stallions, and failing. The memories remained too strong. No longer able to bear their separation, she left, and her heart has brought her here to sunshine river, for reasons unbeknown to her.

Luna has been wandering for some time now, meeting strangers as she goes. Her manner has been more and more wistful of late, is it time that she moved on?
