Name: Kasim
Age: 8 years
Breed: Egyptian Arab
Height:15.1hh
Colour: Flea-bitten Grey
Eye Colour: Azure
Gender: Mare
Markings: Blackened Muzzle with a white snip.
History:
This mare originates from the dunes of sands themselves. Her stock goes way back to the purest of Egyptian Arabians’, these horses are still unseen from man, yet they seem to think they have conquered the breed; instead they lack the magical genetics of the ancient Arabs. She is a princess, so to speak. She answers to nobody unless they treat her with the upmost respect and in turn she will repay them. She has walked these lands for such a short time yet holds a river of wisdom. Throughout her foal years she was taught not only the ancient ways of war and battle, but the languages of many others, as well as the psychological thinking of her kin.
Her story began, of course, In Egypt. Abu Simbel, home of the ancient temples to Pharaoh Ramesses and his Queen Nefertiti, was also the home of Kasim’s antediluvian herd, aptly named the Simbel Herd. They dwelled within the sacred monuments, the line descending from the 1244 BCE until the present day. Kasim was the heir to become leader of the sanctified herd that was until her half- brother, Aquert, meaning “land of the dead” made his presence felt.
For near on a decade her brethren had not shown his face. This was because he had been recruiting members to overthrow his father’s herd and in consequence avenge his elder sister’s leadership. Simbel were not ready for such an invasion, and whilst their own warriors were strong they could not defeat the armies of Aquert. He had slayed his father already and Kasim was next to be slaughtered. However, Aquert cornered Kasim, he told her if she gave him all rights to lead then he would not only let her free but stop the brutal fighting that was happening all around them. How could she let the defenceless mares and foals of the herd be killed all for the sake of her leadership. So, she bowed to his demand, and now she is outcast from her own land. Her own people, lead under the vicious rule of Aquert. But one day she will return, when she has built back her armies, she will not desert her people.
