History:

Many legends surround the abandoned castle, of heroic deeds and great family loyalty, one of the greatest is about a lord of the castle who bred horses as brave as the clan’s warriors. The people may be gone and the castle forsaken but several herds of Clydesdales remain.

Piper belonged to one of those herds, the daughter of the Stallion Duntrune and his favorite mare Tartan. Her father took over the territory from a stallion who was abusing his mares, after the stallion was driven off her father went to round up mares who had gone into hiding. Shortly though the stallion returned and took over with no one to oppose him.

Every day Piper watched from the top of a hill waiting for her Fathers return, knowing he would be at a disadvantage due to being tired. A week later she saw her father and neighed out a warning, her father turned away but the stallion was angry about losing his chance to kill Duntrune fought Piper until she collapsed and knocked her into the river.

Piper woke up disoriented and wandered for days before wandering into Sunshine river
