History(s):
( first Broken Dreams, Sienna Glory, then Oceana)
Broken Dreams had lost everything she had ever known before she was 2 years old. But the story of her loss is something she rarely speaks about, instead starting the story at the place of her new beginning, The Shores. She entered the oceanside terra a shy and quiet mare and quickly ran into the leader of the largest herd and king of the leads. He seemed really nice and she decided to give him a chance. They spent most of their days together talknig and getting to know each other better. However, Dreams had never experienced love before and it scared her, so she did what many do, even though they tend to regret it. She ran away.
When she left though, she realized she couldn't live without Storm, the love of her young life. She was lonely and miserable without him, so she traveled back home, a year after her departure, but when she arrived in the terra, she was greeted not only by her love, Storm, but also his new lead mare. She was devestated, but could not leave the terra and her love, even if she couldn't have him for herself
Dream, however, could not keep her need for Storm to herself an went to his lead, explaining the circumstances and begging her to leave him (since, after all, she was more in love with his power than him) but she refused and went to Storm, twisting Dreams words to make her sound like some psychopathic stalker who was threatening her. Storm was furious wih Dream and banished her for 3 months for her audacity to confront his mate. After those months, however, she returned to find the the lead mare gone. Apparantly, she had found a better stallion who could provide for her needs. Dreams went to Storm and asked to be his lead. He immediately said yes and apologized for banishing her (he had now realized how awful his lead was and how she had lied to him)
The spotted mare was scared to be given so many new responsibilities as ruler over the lands, but she knew, with Storm's help, she could do anything. And first on her to do list . . .
A foal. That was what she so desperately wanted.
Storm happily agreed, and a few months later, the first daughter of the Shores was born. She had her father's black coat and blue eyes, a striking combination. The only hint of her mother in her was her white stockings on her forelegs. She hadn't even thought of any names, but her love was already on it. He proposed Sienna Glory, Sienna for short, and so she was named.
Sienna could be the glue that held the small family together, or the double-edged sword that sliced them apart, depending on her mood. As she grew older, she usually was the latter and, becoming agitated with her family and their endless rules and expectation, she ran away, breaking the last strand that had been holding dreams and Storm together (or possibly apart, to keep them from killing each other)They got into a huge argument over Sienna's upbringing and Dreams retreated to the beach for some well-needed 'quiet time.' Not such a good idea.
Her eyes focused on the waves crashing along the shore, rolling up to buble around her feet, trying to forget the fact that a stallion was in the process of force breeding her.She had given up struggling a while ago,instead throwing curses and insults at him every few seconds, not that Jack cared. He left her soon after, leaving only a broken mare who longed for her love, who would love her no more once he had found out she was in foal.
He would not believe her story, especially not now, since they were mad at each other.
Dreams kept her pregnancy hidden from Storm as long as she could, but eventually he had to notice, and when he did all hell broke loose. Storm thought that she had cheated on him and she was mad that he didn't believe her, meanwhile Sienna had run off again, this time in pursuit of a stallion she claimed to love, Raidho. Anyway, Storm shunned Dreams for he rest of her pergnancy, not kicking her out of the herd only because she was pregnant, but her position as lead was quickly given to another.
A few months later, near the time Jack's foal was due, Dreams realized she didn't know what to do with herself. The Queen of the Shores she was no more. She was nothing now, but a disgraceful mare with a big belly. She was a loner. She hadn't spoken to another living soul in days and had been looking at the same grass, trees and flowers of the farthest valely from where Storm's herd resided for days. Dreams felt a sharp pang in her side and settled under the tree she had birthed Sienna under, but she had been here for peace and quiet then, not because she was shunned. Another cramp shot through her side and a short gasp escaped her lips. The pain was like doing the splits on a stick of dynamite, and being ripped limb from limb. She looked around and sighed, still pushing, but not making any other sounds, not wanting to attract any attention to the nirth of her unwanted foal, though she wished Storm was here, that this was his foal. Her heart was still with the lead, but she knew that his heart had abandoned hers long ago. She looked behind her at the foal that she had produced as she pined over Storm. She, as Sienna had been, was a spitting image of her father, just another reminder of the painful way her daughter had been conceived and why her life was so messed up now. However, she was Dream's daughter, and she loved her all the same. Dreams named her Oceana, after the place where her father had seemed to emerge from that one awful night. She stood up with her daughter in time to see Storm and his lead standing on a hill aways off. She stared at them for a moment before Storm turned and left. his lead stayed, though, and looked like she was debating on going toward Dreams, but in the end, she gave the former lead a final fleeting look before running to catch up with her stallion. The spotted mare sighed. She would always love Storm, but she had finally realized he never truly loved her. She only wished she hadn't had to go through so much to realize that.
Sienna returned a few months later, though she wasn't the rebellious daughter Dreams had once known. She now carried the burden of losing a foal on her young shoulders and the fact that her father had disowned her didn't help much. She was happy to have a younger sister and suggested they all move to the land she had gone to. Dreams however, wished to stay, at least for a little longer. She still loved Storm and couldn't bear to leave him yet and Oceana was too young to be traveling that far anyway. Dreams and Sienna raised Oceana in ignorence of her conception and she was what made their life worth living. Once Oceana was three ( Storm had died in a fight, leaving Dreams very depressed for, like, a month)(that fight, btw, though I'm not saying which side she was on, Sienna had taken part in and had recieved a hard blow to her head, which had made her loose her memory from before she had returned to her mother)Anyway, once Oceana was three, they left, to a new land with new possibilities.
