Bloodfire galloped into Sunshine River. He smiled to himself for he had finally claimed some territory and was excited to start a new life here and leave all the horrible rumors and his old life behind him. He whinnied to let everyone there know he was looking for a mare, particularly a lead mare that would join him. However he did have some difficulty getting mares for his coat was the deep crimson red color of blood, hence his name. He tried to ignore it and hoped he could find a mare that would ignore it as well.

Snow Dancer was grazing nearby and lifted her head as she saw the stag. She wasn't nervous at the stallion's appearance, she was very calm and layed back. She new that she would be able to defend herself if he was looking for trouble though. She nickered quietly to him and waited for his reply.
The sun was shining brightly today, making her ebony coat glisten as the gentle wind rippled her mane and tail.

Bloodfire raised his head when he heard a soft call. He turned and saw a mare. He smiled and totted over to stand by her. "Hello there m'lady. What do they call you?" He asked casually as he waited for her answer. The breeze was blowing and was keeping him cool but Bloodfire knew that soon many mares would be having thier foals and happy stallions would have little babies runing around their territory. He couldnt help but be a little jealous.

Snow Dancer smiled at the stallion. She perked her ears as he approched and was a little cautious but it didn't show. She nickered softly again to the stallion. "Ello kind sir, i am Snow Dancer, you can call me Snow though. May I ask for your name?"
She watched the stallion, he seemed friendly enough but she new from experience then to trust a newlt met stallion. She watched his movement and watched his ears and behavior to figure if he was friendly or cautious or aggressive.

Bloodfire smiled warmly at her answer and tossed his mane out of his eyes before replying. "My name is... Bloodfire." He said carefully with a slight pause. This was usually when the mare would leave or make up an excuse to leave or something. He carefully studied her expression waiting for her to respond. If she would stick around long enough he would explain everything to her. He waited hopefully...

Snow couldn't say that the stallion's name didn't put a question in her mind but she didn't think about it for too long. She has seen some weird names before, Bloodfire just made her wonder what the stallion was like. She shook her mind clear of the thought and went on with the conversation, she wasn't sure what to say next though. She just smiled and nodded slightly to the stud to show that she wasn't frightened or uneasy. She would stay with the stallion and continue to talk with him.

Bloodfire was a little surprised that she had not ran off yet."I am glad that you have stayed. Most mares I have meant get a little turned off at my name." He said as he pranced around a little nervously."But if it would help then you can call me Fire. That was my real name. Bloodfire is just sort of a nickname." He explained. His ears pricked forward as he waited for her answer.

Snow smiled at the stallion "I wouldn't leave you just because of your name, your name could be horse-killer and i would stay." She watched the stallion, he seemed nice enough. She looked around the land quick before returning her attention to him. Her brown eyes sparked as she watched him a little more, her black coat gleaming in the sun.

A big black stallion was watching. He snorted softly and looked to the mare and the stallion. He didn't show himself yet, just watching and ready. He looked over the mare, she looked good and sweet. He turned his head to study the stallion with her. He needed a mare and sized up the stallion, thinking that he could beat him in a fight and steal the mare for himself.

Bloodfire smiled kindly to the mare. "I hate to be forward... but do you have a herd of your own?" He asked softly as he carefully nuzzled her, nipping at her mane gently. He did not want to make her not like him by being to fast moving. He hoped that she liked him as much as he liked her. He waited quietly for an answer, he gently nuzzled her once more before he took a step back to look at her deep in her eyes, his own eyes filled with hope.

Snow shook her head slightly "I don't have a herd, I haven't been here too terribly long." She nuzzeled the stallion's neck and nipped at his mane as he had done to her. She nickered quietly and looked around the land quick before looking into the stallion's eyes, she could see that they were hopeful, not afraid. She smiled as her big brown eyes shone and knew that he would be a good stallion.

Eclipes snorted, he knew that with the mare having no herd that the two would be moving out soon. He would have to move in now. With a graceful leap he showed himself to the two and half reared, nickering proudly. He strutted towards the two, his ebony coat glistening in the sun and black eyes filled with confedence. He glared at the stallion quick and turned to the mare. "Ello m'lady, couldn't help but over hear that you were herdless and wondered if you would join me." He looked over her, she would be a good herd mare.

Bloodfire smiled happily at Snow. "Well then... would you like to... join my herd?" He asked his eyes glittering even more. He was a little surprised that another stallion had been hiding nearby. He was a little startled as the stallion quickly asked Snow to join his herd. He hoped that what Snow knew about him would give him an advantage over the other stallion. He really hoped that she would join him. He really didnt want to fight this other stallion but if that was what it took then he would do it to win her heart.

Snow smiled when Fire asked her to join "I would love to join you" She smiled and nuzzeled the stallion, eyes sparkling. She jumped as the stallion appeared and asked to join so quickly. She backed up a step, not interested in the stallion. She spoke to him "Oh, I am sorry, but I was already with Fire here." She hoped the stallion would understand and leave them in peace.

The stallion snorted and tossed his head, wanting the mare to be with him. He sneared at the stallion and took a step towards the mare. "My herd will be better then his, you should come with me." He took another step, eyeing the stallion and then the mare. His eyes sparked a little from excitment of being near a mare and from jealousy to the other stallion.

Fuego had been watching the first stallion and the mare for a while now and she did NOT like the new stallion. She was with her stallion, but she could always come to Sunshine River and help out some horses. Feugo stepped out of te shadows and spoke harshly to the stallion that had arrived after the red coat one. "You have no right to critisize this stallion! He got here first and this mare wants to g with him so I suggest that you leave them to be happy! You can go off and find other mares that might want to join your herd. From what I have seen this gentlemen seems to be a worthy stallion that will make a great herd. You look like one of those stallions that only think of mares as lowly posessions and not horses to be cherrished and loved"
Many mares would be shocked at themselves for speaking like that, but not Fuego. She was, as her name suggests, as hot as fire, in looks and personality. She snorrted at the stallion.

Snow felt like she wanted to run as the stallion took a step forward. She turned her head and perked her ears as she saw another mare. She watched her a little then stepped back as she heard her talk so steirnly to the stallion. She flicked her ears nervously and backed up another step, unsure of what to do. She looked to Fire and then the new stallion and then the mare again.

Eclipse snorted and pinned his ears as the mare talked to him so steirnly to him. He tossed his head and looked over her. He looked to the others, eyes filled with rage but clouded with uncertainty. A mare has never spoke to him in such way, if she were a stallion he would of beat her silly but she was a mare and he showed respect to mares. He dipped his head slowly and turned and left, ears still back.

Fire had protectiely stepped in between the stallion and both mares. He was always taught to never let any stallion do anything to harm another mare weither she was your mare or not. Fire was surprised at the mare's courage. "Thank you very much for standing up for me like that. Not many mares would do that. I honor your courage." He said as he bowed his head to Fuego then turned to Snow. "Are you alright my dear?" He asked as he nuzzled her gently.

Snow sighed as the stallion left, glad that nothing happened. She looked to Fire and nodded, "Yes, I am fine." She returned his nuzzel and looked to the other mare "Thank you for telling him off, I would of been to scared to." She horse-blushes slightly, a mare like her wouldn't stand up to a stallion like that. She relaxed again as she stood with the horses, looking after the big stallion that left to make sure he was gone.

Fire smiled and nuzzled her again. "So would you like to see your new home then?" He asked with a smile. He slowly took a few steps towards the place he called home then turned back to face her and wait for her answer. He was so happy that he had finally found a mare. Now he could finally get his own herd started. He pranced around a little trying to get some of his energy out of his system while he waited for her answer.

Snow smiled "I would love to!" She pranced a little and trotted after him, tossing her head playfully. Her black coat glistened in the sun and her forlock covered up her star. She bucked playfully, kicking up some snow and then nickered, ready to see her new home. She was a little nervous but having Fire comforted her. She stood by him and perked her ears, ready to go.
