Name: Tritessa
Age: 9
Breed: Haflinger
Height: 15 hh
Colour: Chestnut with flaxen mane and tail
Eye Colour: Deep green
Gender: Mare
Markings: White stockings on all four feet, and a wide white blaze on the nose.
Personality: Cold, withdrawn, and really could care less about others. Though withdrawn, she is not afraid to speak her mind, and usually her words are laced with sarcasm, negativity, and sadism. Many considered her dark, and never stayed long. It will take a lot more than mere momentary kindness--it requires much to heal a broken spirit.
History:
Tritessa, meaning "sadness" in Italian, was given to her by the mare who foaled her. The rambunctious horse was always misbehaving, trailing from stallion to stallion. Ever the heartbreaker, she left madness in her wake, but her sheer love of drama and chaos led her to where she was. Then, one fateful night, she found out she was pregnant.
Once the little filly was born, her mother directed her frustration and anger out on her, leaving the foal with nothing but scratches and an ear full of insults. There was never a time when Tritessa could make her mother happy, even when she did all she was told and stayed out of her way. The remorseful mare always found a way to make the filly suffer. Her regret seethed through her skin...she could no longer do as she wished, and her stubbornness allowed her to hold the filly close so she could use her as a scapegoat. It ruined Tritessa, and left her to be nothing but a hollow shell.
Tritessa grew, and eventually was strong enough to take revenge on her own mother, leaving her to the hungry mountain lions that raided their small, meager herd. All she could do then was find a new place to be, and since then has wandered from place to place, making sure that at least one horse felt the sadness that filled her shattered heart. She knew, that if she were to ever change who she was, the world would probably be near its end.
