History: Such a short life, a life that might not have been at all. It was a miracle that she survived her birth, such a difficult one for her mother, Faradera. But Cassandra was strong enough. Perhaps that strength will bring her through winter. Daughter of the great King, royal blood runs through her veins and no doubt she will live up to her ancestry.

Cassandra did survive her first few years. But as a two year old, she was stolen away by a band of warrior stallions. She was brought to their leader Rysen, lord of the Strath, who had become aware of her seer ability and forced her to provide him with information. After a year and a half of captivity, Cassandra was so drained by her rough treatment and the terrible visions that she was rapidly declining in health. Cormorant rescued her at the same time he rescued Lyric and Torna, and after the battle of Dalt and Strath, returned her to her family.
