A big mare walked in to the unknown area. Well, at least it was unfamiliar to her. She honestly didn't care what other horses thought. Mandalynne was a tough, heartless horse. You could say she was looking for a stallion, but that would wrong. In fact, she was trying to avoid stallions. And mares. And foals. She was sick of being tossed and thrown around just because she was a mare. Most horses who saw her now probaly wouldn't even reconize as a mare. She was so incredibly big and strong. Manda had passed a few horses, but they hadn't even said a hello. They were too shocked to say anything. Many stallions wanted her because she wasa beautiful mare, but many stallions ended up running away tail between there legs or never getting to see another mare again. This mare was not going to be bossed around anymore. And she really meant it.

Cliche was walking ahead of her sister, Rainbow. Cliche's raven-colored coat shone in the summer sun. Cliche saw a mare that wasn't talking to anyone, just walking past all the others. But then, it didn't look like the other horses wanted to talk to the mare anyways. Hmm...maybe she'll be our friend. Cliche thought, before saying gleefully to her younger sister, "Hey, Rainbow! Let's go talk with that mare over there," gesturing to the mare she had seen walking, "Maybe we'll actually make a friend! Before Rainbow could respond, Cliche trotted off.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rainbow lagged a little behind Cliche, always the follower of her older sister. Rainbow was thinking of ways she could tell Cliche that it might not be a good idea to just go talk to new horses when they were in a new area. Before she could say anything, though, Cliche had said something about making friends with a mare. Cliche trotted off before Rainbow could protest, not that she would, as she always listened and obeyed her sister. "Great. Good going, Cliche. What if the mare wants to be left alone? Maybe that's why she's not with any other groups of horses....[/i] Rainbow said under her breath, before cantering after Cliche.

Mandalynne kept on walking, not yet noticing the Thoroughbreds chasing after her. Her pace stayed the same, not ever going any faster, not ever slower. She just kept right on lumbering through the area, horses staring in awe and shock. But of course Manda didn't notice. She was only concerned about herself and herself only. Right now she was thinking of where she was going. She honestly didn't have a clue. She was thinking about making her way to the watering hole, or trying to find some nice, dark woods where she could be alone and never have to talk to anyone again. Just walk through and terrorize anything in her path. A dark, smug smile creeped across her face at the thought of it.

Cliche caught up to the mare. "Hi! I'm Cliche. What's your name? Cliche, not being the brightest of the bunch, didn't realize that maybe, just maybe, this mare wanted to be left alone. But then again, she would have most likely bothered her anyways. Cliche could keep up with the mare's pace, because of her long racing legs. Cliche's ears swiveled backwards as she heard Rainbow catching up to the two of them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rainbow finally caught up to Cliche and the new mare. Of course, she had to follow Cliche. Mainly to get Cliche out of any sticky situations she may get into, like she always did. Rainbow, unlike Cliche, stayed quiet. She could tell the mare had wanted to be alone ever since she saw Cliche trotting after her. This mare was stockier than the rest. I wonder what she is...she's not like most of the horses I've seen around here...hm...I'll have Cliche ask, although she'll most likely ask anyways.

Mandalynne's smile quickly washed away when she heard someone talking to her. The Dales Pony turned around. In front of her were to Thoroughbreds, one black and one grey. The black, Cliche, had been the one talking to her. She looked older than the gray one. " Mandalynne. Not that it matters to you." she said rudely. Then a ice cold smile crossed her face. " Or maybe it does. Who's the grey mare following behind you?" Manda wanted to know both horses names so they get to know eachother. Manda had gotten an idea in her head, but she wasn't going to reveal her plan yet. But soon, once she got to know who they were, Manda would lead them somewhere where Manda would be the only one having fun.

Cliche, being the duller of the two, didn't realize that maybe, just maybe this mare wasn't so friendly. "Well, hi Mandalynne! Oh, her? That's my younger sister, Rainbow veins. We just got here. You were walking by yourself, and I was thinking 'hey, maybe she'd like to talk to us!', because none of the other horses were talking to us."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rainbow shivered at the icy smile that was on this mare--Mandalynne, as she learned--'s face. This mare didn't seem to be very nice. Rainbow thought she should try to guide them back to the other horses, even though she knew Cliche wouldn't listen to her. Rainbow got up her courage and said, "Hello, Mandalynne. That's a beautiful name.....um....you aren't like--er, built like the other horses around here. What are you?"

Mandalynne snorted. Cliche was to cheerful, and Mandalynne was having a hard time standing it. She looked down on Rainbow. " Well, I'm a horse of course, " Mandalynne said. She swished her tail. " A Dales Pony if you have to know. I just sort of wandered in the area, and now I'm here. Don't know why I told you that, though. You don't need to know anything about me." she sneered. Rainbow seemed to be smarter and more cautious than Cliche, even though she was younger. Mandalynne thought it would be a lot of fun if she could try to split the two sister up. Mandalynne had been so bored lately, and she wanted to do something fun. Her view of fun, of course.

Cliche sulked as Mandalynne started talking to Rainbow. No matter what, she is always the one they talk to. Why? I'm the more outgoing, the more cheerful one. It's only because she's the smart one. That's it. How I wish I could be like my sister, but I can't. Cliche looked over to her sister, sighing.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Oh, okay. It's just that....well, I've never met a--well, we've never met a horse built like you before. Have we, Cliche?" She asked the question to Cliche because she knew her older sister always had to talk. Nonstop. Sort of annoying, but, she got used to it. When Cliche's quiet, that's when something's wrong with her.
------------------------------------------
Cliche shook her head no, before trying to divert Mandalynne's attention away from Rainbow and back onto her. "So, Mandalynne, where are you going? We'll come with if you like. We've been in search for a friend, haven't we Rainbow? Noone seems to want to be our friend."
------------------------------------------- Rainbow listened to Cliche, mentally imagining her kicking Cliche when Cliche mentioned they'd go with Mandalynne. Mandalynne didn't seem.....well, something seemed wrong about Mandalynne. Not right. Evil, almost. Rainbow wanted to go over to Cliche, tell Mandalynne goodbye, and bite her sister to make her come with. But, of course, that wasn't Rainbow's nature. Rainbow was the quiet one, the one that thought, the one with intuition. Which Cliche didn't seem to have, sadly. If she did, she'd have sensed that Mandalynne wasn't correct.

Mandalynne snorted again. These sister knew nothing. Sure, she was an odd built for a mare, but Dales Pony's were built like this. Anybody could see that. Then Mandalynne got a surprise and her ears perked forward. Cliche and Rainbow wanted to join her! Man, she thought, that Cliche is really stupid. Can't she see how much I don't want them?! " Well, Cliche, for now I am going nowhere." A smug, mean smile slipped across her face. " But perhaps you would like to join me, eh? You can come with me now, but I don't want any whining. You guys look like real wimps so no trouble, you hear me?" she said sternly. An even wider smile crossed her face. She was the one who was going to make trouble, and she was just acting like nothing was going on. She laughed in her head. This was going in the wrong direction. For the Thoroughbreds it wasn't going good, and it wasn't going to get any better.

Cliche snorted, stopping in her tracks. Wimp?! I am certainly not a wimp. That'd be Rainbow." Out of the corner of her eye, Cliche saw Rainbow giving her a death glare. Cliche acted like she didn't see it, and continued on with Mandalynne. She didn't stop when she saw Rainbow had stopped, looking sad, almost mournful. Oh well. If she doesn't want to come, too bad for her. Cliche thought.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Rainbow glared at Cliche. Wimp?! I'm not a wimp. Cautious and aware of my surroundings, yes, but not a wimp. Mandalynne is taking this too far. I'll have to stay here I guess....if Cliche doesn't stay with me here, I guess....I guess I'll have to leave her then. Rainbow thought. She stopped in her tracks, and watched as her older sister, her best friend, continue on with Mandalynne. She wanted to scream a warning call out to Cliche, scream how stupid and idiotic she was being. How she could get killed. Whoa...killed. Where'd that come from? Rainbow then realized: Mandalynne wasn't being friendly. She was being dangerous. Now Rainbow was torn. She wished horses could cry, she would've started bawling. This may be the last time I see you, sister. Be safe. With that, she turned her back and started slowly walking away.
(OOC: Oh no!! Rainbow left Cliche! With your evil horsie! Ahhhh!!!!....I wanted to cry as I wrote that! lol. I'm such a dork.)

ooc: uh oh! not good! hehe but Mandaynne's plan worked. MUAHAAAA
Mandalynne thought in her head, Not a wimp?! Hah! We'll see about that after I go through with her! " So, your sister's not coming, huh? You know, I always knew you were the stronger, better one. I bet Rainbow couldn't go a day without you, she be so scared she'd sweat her whole body off, sitting there with her tail tucked underneath her legs!" Mandalynne thought it would be best to try to convince Cliche that she was not dangerous and that she was the best. But Mandalynne only could let her be the boss for a certain amount of time before Cliche would have the ride of a lifetime. " Well Cliche, know you get to be the boss. You get to lead the way and you get to boss me around. So, where to, your highness?"

(OOC: oh no!!)
Cliche looked back at her sister. "Hmm...guess not. Oh well. We'll have fun without her, won't we Manda? It's okay if i call you that, right? Mandalynne seems so...formal. Yucky. Why my sister thought that was a pretty name, I have no idea." Cliche laughed at what Mandalynne said about Rainbow. Even though cruel, she was pretty sure it was true. But how wrong she was. "Okay! Let's go.....to those woods and explore!" Cliche cantered ahead of Mandalynne. "C'mon, bet ya cant' catch me!"
-----------------------------------------------------
Rainbow stopped walking and turned her head around. Maybe Cliche will get some sense and come with me. Rainbow watched Cliche turn her head around and look at Rainbow before turning back to look at Mandalynne. Gosh, she is such an idiot! How much stupider can you get, Cliche? Mandalynne doesn't want to be your friend! Why would you even think that?! Rainbow mentally yelled at Cliche. Ranbow turned around to look at the two mares, receding from her view. She watched as Cliche cantered ahead of Mandalynne. She hoped, wished, she would see her older sister again, alive.
Rainbow decided to stay where she was. If she heard anything, she would gallop to Cliche and....well, she hadn't thought of that yet. What would she do to Mandalynne? Mandalynne could easily overpower her, no doubt about that.

Mandalynne smiled her ugly, mean smile. The first part of her plan had worked. She had seperated the sisters. Good job, Mandalynne, she thought. But remember we still have a second part of the plan too. Mandalynne took one last glance at Rainbow, in case she changed her mind and came loping back. But the gray Thoroughbred just sat there looking at her sister. Mandalynne smiled again and then called out to the galopping Cliche," You may call me what you like, since you are the boss. Let me try to catch you, all though I am not nearly as fast as you are" Mandalynne knew she could easily outrun the Thoroughbred, even though she was of a fast breed. The Dales Pony trotted quickly after Cliche, but let her stay ahead ten strides or so. Not until they were out of site from Cliche's sister and the other horses would something happen.
ooc: Mandalynne too mean! oh noes!

Cliche started galloping towards the woods, slowing as she got into them to let her eyes adjust some. Once they were adjusted to the dim light, she trotted further into the woods, with no idea of the intentions of Mandalynne. She turned when she felt they had gone far enough. "Okay, Manda, let's explore! Where should we go?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rainbow still didn't know whether to go after her sister or not. After all, she herself wouldn't want to get hurt if Mandalynne did something bad. But, feeling guilty, she shifted her weight and looked around, unsure of herself. I'll....I'll just go a little bit closer and wait. If I hear something bad, I'll go to her...or if she's not back by the time the sun sets. Rainbow thought.

Mandalynne came to a stop next to Cliche. " Cliche, you get to be the boss. I am the one who should be asking, " So, where should we go next, boss?"" Well, where would you like to go? Any where is fine with me, as long as it's okay with you." Mandalynne looked behind them to see if Rainbow had followed them. The mare had a feeling that the gray Thoroughbred was going to follow them at one point, but she didn't know when. Then she turned her head back to Cliche, her black body blending in well with the dark woods. Good, thought Mandalynne. Then no one will be able to see her if they come looking for the little brat.

ooc: oh noes!!! My poor horsie...oh well. lol. Im so nice to Cliche, basically leading her to getting hurt or something. haha
"Hmm...okay, let's go this way!" Cliche jumped over a fallen tree and continued deeper into the woods. She sniffed the ground, seeing if anything had been there before. Nothing had. Nothing their size, anyways. She turned around. "So, what are you doing here? Were you looking for friends too?" Cliche asked, trying to make conversation with the Dales Pony.
-------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Rainbow had gone a little closer to the forest. She still was unsure. Go after hre sister and potentially get killed, or don't go after her sister, and let her sister and her potentially get killed? Rainbow wasn't a selfish horse. She didn't want to go in, only because she knew something bad would happen to both of them if she did, and yet, she wanted to go in to save her older sister from whatever fate had in store for her. Gosh, why does life have to have to many decisions? Why can't it be just 'yes', 'no', and 'maybe'?

ooc: lol hehe!
Mandalynne followed right behind Cliche and cleared the dead tree by at least three feet. " Well, Cliche. I was just passing through. I guess you could say I was looking for some friends. But now I have found one. And the best one at that!" Right after she said those words she twisted her tounge around. Man, that felt gross to say! Yes Mandalynne, you can't help lying can you?" she said to herself. Best friend indeed Mandalynne laughed inside her head. She stamped on the ground once with her foot and then said, " So, where to next?"

"Really? I'm your best friend? That's so cool!" Cliche walked even further into the woods, occasionally looking back to see if Mandalynne was behind her. She got to a clearing and said, "Okay, let's stop here for a minute. This is a nice place to stop, right?" The clearing was about 10 feet wide and 15 feet long.
---------------------------------------------------- Rainbow decided to go into the woods. She cautiously went in, making sure that Cliche and Mandalynne weren't anywhere near. She wanted to spy on them, but didn't want them to know she was following them. She could see where they had gone, by the trampled grass and broken sticks. She tried not to step on the sticks, in fear of making a noise, which the two other mares would hear.

Mandalynne followed Cliche through the woods and into the clearing. But before she got all the way to the clearing she stopped and pricked her ears. She heard something. The crunching of grass. Then it stopped. The horse looked behind her, hoping to see the culprit. Nothing. She sighed. Maybe Mandalynne was just getting so excited about what was going to happen to Cliche that she was imagining things. Probaly just a bird Mandalynne went all the way to the clearing this time and said to Cliche, " Yes, Cliche, this is the perfect spot." The Dales Pony's mouth curled into an ugly, crooked smile. Just a little more time and then her plan would start.
ooc: oh noes! poor Cliche!

Cliche turned around to stare at the Dale's Pony. "Okay, I'm done leading. Now you lead! What do you want to do, Manda?" Cliche lowered her head to the grass and bit some. She hadn't realized how hungry she was. She looked back over to Mandalynne, waiting for her reply.
-----------------------------------------
Rainbow froze as she saw Mandalynne look back to where she was. Carefully, she went into the shadows, her gray coat blending in with the shadows, like her sisters black coat could. She was trying to formulate something to do, when she heard sinister voice of Mandalynne. Oh gosh, Rainbow Veins! Think faster! You have to think faster! What should I do?! Rainbow was starting to panic. But, if I dont come up with something, and something does happen to Cliche, I can make a fast break the way I came, and get out into the meadow. Surely Mandalynne wouldn't do anything around other horses, would she?

"I get to lead?" Mandalynne tried to look surprised. " But your the boss. Well, I guess I can lead for a little while, but not too long since your still the boss." She said the last part quickly, but inside she was smiling her icy smile all over. " OK, let's go this way then. Try to catch me!" Mandalynne trotted briskly over to the other side of the clearing and laughed to herself. The second part of her plan was about to take place. She plunged into woods, going deeper with every step, looking behind her to make sure Cliche would follow. And if Rainbow ever came back to look for her sister, that would be just perfect. As long as Mandalynne got enough time to play with Cliche.

Cliche followed the Dale's pony brisk trot, only a few steps behind her, as to not run her over. They were going deeper and deeper into the woods. "Do you know where we're going, Manda? Or are we just exploring?" Cliche was still clueless as ever of Mandalynne's sinister voice and her icy smiles.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Rainbow watched every move made by Mandalynne. If she even made a threatening move toward Cliche, Rainbow would be next to her. She followed carefully, and extremely cautiously as she made her way across the clearing. She didn't want either mare to see her, because Cliche would yell her name out, and Mandalynne.....Rainbow shuddered. She didn't know what Mandalynna would do.

" Oh, just exploring." Mandalynne's nice, cheery voice was fading. She was getting down to buisness. A bit deeper, and her plan would form. That Thoroughbred is the stupidest one I have ever seen. I mean, any other horse would now something was wrong now, Mandalynne thought to herself as she kept trotting through the woods, still plunging deeper and deeper. A twig snapped from far behind the two horses. Mandalynne stopped abrubtly, Cliche sliding right into her. Something wasn't right. The Dales pony perked her ears forward and listened. Nothing again. But this time Mandalynne just didn't keep going. Either something was following them, or there were a million birds in the area. And it couldn't have been Cliche because she had been right behind me Mandalynne was very suspicous. Because if Rainbow was following them then the whole plan could be screwed. When there was nothing for a few minutes, the mare concluded it was a bird and kept going deeper into the woods.

Cliche replied to Mandalynne, "Oh, okay. This is fun, Manda!" She slid into Manda when Manda stopped, listening for something. "What is it, Manda? Do you hear something?" Cliche asked.
---------------------------------------
Rainbow kept stepping on twigs. She had to be even more careful. Mandalynne had very good hearing, and if they found out she was following them, she would be in some deep trouble. There was no telling what Mandalynne had planned yet, but Rainbow could conclude that it wasn't good. She kept following the two mares, looking down at the ground, and hanging back about fourty feet, so it'd be harder to see her.

" Oh, just thought I heard something. Must have been some birds." Mandalynne laughed. Very fun indeed, and it was going to get more fun [" You think it is fun, Cliche? Well I don't. I am having no fun what so ever. So how about we change courses, eh? Since you were the only one having fun back there, now I get to be the only one having fun, ok? That's the deal. You hear me?" No trace of any Mr. Nice Guy was left in her voice now. It was all mean, rude, and taunting. Anytime now, when Mandalynne decided that is, the plan would actually start. The Dales Pony would know when the right time was, but she couldn't concentrate with the twigs and branches snapping from the birds.
ooc: Mandalynne is going to do something very mean right now, k? So don't be surprised if Mandalynne is really meaner than she seems because her wild side is sort of coming. Oh noes! Poor Cliche and Rainbow!

"Oh, okay." Cliche replied cheerfully. Cliche was staring at her hooves, noticing how they had gotten dull, not shiny anymore like they were when her and Rainbow were in captivity. She looked back up to Manda. "Okay! What are we gonna do?" Cliche asked.
--------------------------
Rainbow stopped and hid behind some tall undergrowth. She knew from here the two wouldn't be able to see her, but she could see them. The day was coming rapidly to a close, and if they didn't get out of there soon, they wouldn't be able to see, and they'd be lost. Lost in the woods. At night. They'd never be able to find their way out. Rainbow focused again on the two mares when Mandalynne started talking. She shuddered at Mandalynne's tone in her voice. It was evil, cruel. Not in the least bit nice. But of course, Cliche didn't realize it. What. An. Idiot. Rainbow thought. She doesn't even realize the tone in Mandalynne's voice. Doesn't realize Mandalynne isn't being nice.

" Hmm. Well. There is this really nice cave that I know of, and only my best friends can go there. It's beautiful, with a fountain of water and some other friends there that would love to meet you. It's in a pretty dark forest, but don't worry, there's nothing dangerous and I'm here to protect you if there is any danger. I know! Let's race! How about this: I'll give you a head start since I know the way better. Ready? On your mark, get set...... GO!!!!!!" Mandlynne chuckled skightly to herself. Of course this stupid mare didn't relize it was the cougar cave she was talking about. This would be interesting.

Cliche jumped, or pranced, on her hooves. "Oh, that'd be lovely! Let us go!" She was itching to run again, she loved it. The wind in her mane. Rainbow never really liked running, she liked walking. When Manda said the word 'go', Cliche sprung ahead. She galloped through the forest, jumping over the occasional log and whatnot. Her tail streamed behind her, she whinnied happily. She was going to a cave that only Manda's best friends could go to!
Rainbow listened in the bushes as Cliche and Mandalynne conversed. This would not end up good, Rainbow knew that. She knew not what Mandalynne was up to, but she knew it wouldn't end well. She feared for both her sisters life and hers as well. She looked to see Cliche disappearing into the woods at a gallop. She then moved her eyes back to where Mandalynne was, looking to see what she was up to. She sincerely hoped Mandalynne didn't know she had been following them. Then this would definitely not end well.
