The chocolate brown yearling had ventured away from his mother, Brazen. He tossed his wild head and let fly a massive neigh, almost a stallion's true scream. He was learning from his father, Alaskan Star. Of course he looked nothing like him. He was even much shorter than the stallion. He stood only thirteen hands high. But then again, he was a true Chincoteague Pony. He tossed his head once more, and picked up a jaunty trot, letting his hooves carry him to and into the water. Splashing around was in his nature as an island pony. Of course, he had never seen his native island...nor did he entirely know where it was.
He splashed around for quite some time, drinking some here and there before walking back out of the water and shaking his body quite like a dog to dry himself some. Deftly, he folded his legs and rolled in the grasses, drying himself further and adding a spectacular coating of mud to his already brown coat. With a quick bite, he pulled some grass into his mouth and began to munch slowly.

Celeris had remained in the Watering Hole for a few days, only venturing out to explore a little bit and never going very far even then. Despite her encounters with a few kind stallions, she was still wary of them. Those horror stories that she had been told were not easily forgotten. Releasing a bored sigh, she walked into the cool water. One thing could be said for this area - you never ran out of water and, if you were willing to converse, you couldn't run out of company either. Unfortunately, conversing did not come easily for her. Still awkward in the presence of others, the roan mare preferred to avoid eye contact. Today was different for her, though, for she couldn't take her eyes off the little pony enjoying a romp in the water. What she would give to enjoy life like that again!

He looked up from his slight grazing to notice the red roan mare. He neighed loudly to her, tossing his head. "Hello and good day Kind Mare. I am Rogue." He bowed deeply, his knees on the ground and his muzzle touching it before rising back up to look at the mare once more.
Of course he would never stand the true height of a normal horse, his heart and soul was much bigger and he would grow up soon to be the best stallion that he could. Of course with his sire and his mother, he was to become great. At least that is what he planned. One day soon, he would hold a herd here and soon he would be needing to find a mare. But for now it was all fun and games, including finding some friends.

A long-legged filly galloped at an explosive speed into the Watering Hole, far ahead of her friend. The yearling was naive... but excited. This was the first time that she had been outside the terra without any of her Aunties, or either of her parents. It was slightly scary, but she would never admit that aloud... and besides, it was twice as amazing and exciting than it was scary. She notice so many more new and exciting things than she did whenever she was out with an adult. The whole experience was just so incredible that bottled up energy was simply unacceptable.
Squealing with almost obnoxious laughter, she shouted over her shoulder, "Desert! Hurry up! Come on!"
The dun yearling was much slower in coming, and far more tentative, her eyes shifting nervously from left to right. As much as she was happy about being independent of her parents, she was not quite as unworldly as her sister... or so she liked to believe. But even if she wasn't, her mother had told her quite enough awful stories to make a young filly of being scared out on her own.
Desert broke into a rickety gallop, quickly catching up with Kira. "Be careful!" she hissed in her best friend's ear. "There could be rogue stallions around that would... would..." She gulped nervously.

Rogue glanced up at the new fillies and gave a cheerful neigh, letting his hind legs lift him up. "Look! Yearlings!" He turned back to Celeris, "Come on. Let's have fun! We can play now!" He snorted and landed once more, his tail lashing behind him. He was slightly reluctant to leave the older mare's side since he was finally away from his own mother...and that made him nervous as well.
He danced slightly in place, tossing his wild head. For his namesake, he was more a sweetheart than an evil rogue. Of couse when you had a sire like Alaskan Star, you could not help being nice. And his mother was nice as well.

(OOC: Oh goodness, I had forgotten that Cel was in this thread! I thought she was still wandering around in nothingness! So sorry!)
The roan mare started from her thoughts as the pony shouted at her. Fun? He wanted to have fun? Well, of course he did! Isn't that what most horses wanted? To enjoy themselves? It was almost a foreign concept to Celeris, though. It had been so long... And these horses were all younger than her. It really didn't make any sense to allow herself to be seen romping about like some sort of youngster. That was ridiculous at six years of age. She needed to start acting like an adult horse and start settling in. She had a reputation to keep after all. Or, did she? Who here did she know? Who would judge the poor little worn down mare? Who would care?
Giving a small smile, the mustang mare tossed her mane, kicked up her heals and galloped after the yearlings.
