History: She was bought for a small child, for her cuteness and friendly disposition. At first she was the size of a miniature pony sp that's what they thought she was a miniature pony that there little girl could ride around on.But soon Reggie started to grow at the age of one she outgrew her saddle and bridle by the age of Two she could no longer fit within the small shed she slept in and finally by the age of Three reached her full height of 20.1hh. She was truly the friendly giant. The child's mother was always nervous when she was around Reggie.
One nice sunny day Reggie was out roaming the yard since there was a cattle guard by the drive way and a fence all around the three acre farm. She was aloud out during the day. She was snooping around the flower bushes near the house biting at the buds. When a noise caught her attention. She blinked, swishing her tail as a white spotted black appaloosa stallion and his three mares leaped over the cattle guard. They started looking arouns stopping to eat at the hay bales stacked along her shed. Reggie walkeld over cheerfully " hello" she grinned. Being a happy sort she loved company. The look the stallion gave her when he turned his head around made Reggie frown like she was not one of them, she wanted to turn away and hide. " What do you want freak?" He asked, his mares laughing beside him.
Just then the owners young girl came running out, screaming with joy and holding a bright orange fairly large carrot up like it was the last hing on earth. The stallion reared, the only thing on Reggie's mind was to protect the child. The stallions eyes widened. The ares turned and fled . He landed with a a soft thud on the ground. Reggie was more like thunder when she landed.
The adults came running out in time to see Reggie rearing but the stallion and his mares were already gone at that point. The man held a gun in his hands well his wife screamed over and over my baby! Raising the gun he tried to shoot Reggie she turned to look the bullet missing within in inches of her head.
She began to run not stopping only for an instant to jump the cattle guard her hooves to big to fall through. The stallion was easy to catch up to with long strides. She pushed a head cutting him off. He slowed and that was when the second gun shot went off. Reggie looked behind her to see the stallions front legs give out, his back ones going in the air and he almost flipped right over, blood oozing form his side.
Reggie is now in the wild lonely and uncertain. She can easily protect herself but what she truly wants is somebody to love her for who she is not just someone who is a giant freak.
