Argon quickly knew what he had to do. He had to go get something for her to drink. He knew that he had to show her his secret place for that was the only place that would allow him to be able to heal him. He gently got her onto his back enough so he could carry her up and up and up into the cave, following the same tunnel until they finally came to his secret place. It was a large opening with hole in the roof where the moon shone in and a small pool of water was on the floor. He helped her to it and tried to help her drink for that would help start washing out the posion. He had never shown this place to anyone and knew that it was a great sacrifice but she was worth it.

Tsaara was half delirious, and was hardly aware of what was going on. Only the great thirst enveloping her, as though her mouth was a desert where it never rained, penetrated to her. And then, there it was, as though given by a god- water. First, just s trickle on her lips, but then, she feebly stuck out her tongue, lapping at it, feeling the fire in her throat ease as the liquid worked its healing magic. It felt immensely good, as though the world was being reborn all over again. Her eyes focused slightly on the cougar standing above her. Argon... what was life before I met you? She struggled for words, but none came, so she simply gave him a long gaze before drifting back into deep, soothing sleep. This time, no nightmares plagued her; only gentle warmth, and a feeling of utter exhaustion.

Argon gently carried over to a large nest that lay made in the corner. The cave that they were in was very large and comfortable. He curled up next to her and kept her warm. Now all he could do was wait. He carefully fell asleep making sure that he would not sleep to deep for if she woke up again in the middle of the night then he would wake up to and be able to help her. He lay his head down on his massie paws and slowly drifted into sleep.

It was bright in the mouth of the cave when she awoke. Her limbs trembled as though she had been running for days, and she hardly had the energy to lift her head. But she was alive. Tsaara lay there for several minutes, breathing deeply, until she spoke up in a hoarse voice, "Poison?" If that was what being poisoned was like, she knew that that was what they force-fed the poor souls in hell. She did not know if Argon was up or not; only that she felt warm, nice and toasty. Her head lifted, then sank onto her paws again. Sleeping had been exhausting. She felt as though she were made of lead.

Argon squirmed a little when he felt Tsaara move. At first he ignored it then quickly jumped to his paws and began to lick her gently to see if she was awake? "How are you feeling?" He asked in a soft tone as he looked into her eyes. The poision seemed to have seeped out of her but left her weak and probably hungry to. He waited patiently for her to find her voice enough to answer him.

She blinked dumbly, and turned to the sound of his voice. For a moment, she could not remember what speaking was, and fumbled for words. Finally, the lioness answered softly, "Miserable. I guess that's a way to put it." Tsaara la her head back down on her paws with a soft sigh. Thank goodness Argon had not fallen sick; then both of them would have died. She had the keenest sense of smell when on the hunt, but once the kill was down and dinner served, all she ever could pick up was the overwhelming scent of fresh blood spilled on the ground. In this case, it had been fairly lethal. She would have to be more careful in the future. Her eyes sank closed for a moment, but then she leaned over and licked Argon gratefully. Time and patience healed all wounds, but love was everlasting.

Argon smiled. "I am glad to hear that I guess..." He said with a chuckle. "Would you like me to bring you something to eat?" He asked her as he gently rose to his paws. He looked down at her and a broad smile spread across his face. "I am so glad that you are alright." He said with a sigh. "I dont know what I would have done if I had lost you." He said as he gave her another lick on the head.

Tsaara's muzzle wrinkled in disgust. "I don't think I could eat anything, even if I was hungry," she answered. A soft sigh escaped her silvery body as her head came back down on her fluffy paws. It was cold out, and she was grateful for Argon's warmth. Eyes closed, she murmured, "At least you're alright. That's what matters." She would not be able to handle losing him, she knew that now. He had such a good heart, such gentle ways... And handsome to boot. Really, she was very lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful, close friend. And she didn't dare think of anything happening to him.

Argon chuckled glad that she still had her humor and lay back down next to her again. He was a little hungry but was scared to eat anything after what had happened to Tsaara. He pressed his fluffly warm fur against her and lay his large head gently on her back. His eyes started to drift close but then he remebered something. "Tsaara..." He whispered without lifting his head. "What would you consider us?" He asked a little awkwardly.

Eyes still closed, Tsaara pondered the question. What did she consider them? Or rather, what did he consider them? She had no way of knowing exactly how he would react to anything she said, but the last thing she wanted to do was hurt him in some way. The truth was always the best solution- but what was the truth? How did she feel? The lioness's eyes opened, and she gazed outward at the icy world beyond the cave. "I... we..." She struggled for words, but found nothing. And what if she made herself look like an idiot? She loved Argon, or so she thought. But what was love? She had never felt such a thing, and so had no idea what this feeling really was. It felt nice, like love was said to be, but how could she know for sure? And she was too proud to be mistaken. Finally, she tried again. "Us, I mean we, are... I consider us to be..." She hissed softly, frustrated with her inability to find the words. Us was us, but what was us? Together? That was one way to put it, but it didn't sound right somehow... "Difficult to explain... you tell me. Perhaps you could word it better than I..." She had the impression that their opinions were similar, but perhaps Argon was more articulate.
